Under the circumstances, chou or whoever you are, I'm not inclined to believe anything any of the four of you or any staff says till the CoNtest's over.

Well, I say that chou is a fake. (As staff, I have it on rather good authority.)

But if you don't believe me when I say that he is a fake, and you don't believe him (her? it?) when he says he's not a fake... what do you believe?

I believe he's a fake. I probably worded that wrong: I mean I don't believe anything from the fakes, and I shouldn't believe anything from you guys cause ye tricked us.

im not going to bother guessing but i thought that chou might be fake, because

first off- he/she hasnt been banned yet
second- he/she seems like s/he would be a 'admin joke'
lastly- he/she gave an excuse not to go see elessar (sorry if your name is spelled wrong, im not looking at the moment) at the charity thing, though it was a very believable excuse

anyway

Okay, but there was a goat!

First off

Whoever did Kimono kitsune deserves kudos, pulled off what seemed like a real person.

Inque sounded reterded, and I couldn't picture a real person thinking that way.

Green Mage, anybody along that political thinking wouldn't be into videogames. didn't feel real. Gave me vibes of "this can't be real".

Chou at first seemed realistic, but after a prolonged period of time, never took a hint,and would have attempted reconciliation. In Chou's character it seemed like Chou had the social graces of a ostracized sixth grader. but claimed to be a full-grown adult, a lot of things didn't add up.Then of course after all the moderation hullabuloo, I believed Chou's existance was a joke.

So whoever did KK flat out fooled me. Muchos Kudos para tu.

Dang, I know I was fooled!!

I never would have guessed. I thought chou was just someone who was new to forums, thought Kimono was a little hyperactive (like a teenage girl ), Inque I just never saw, and the green mage was a little....weird! I've seen people sign up just to post one thing, and never come back, but I've never heard of staff poseing as regular members for a contest. Great ideas for attracting new people.

I gave my guesses in an e-mail, and I pretty sure I got a least one right! Hehehe...

I'm pretty sure that everyone gets one entry, and that the most correct entry will win. As far as I know, no one has guessed all four correctly yet. We'll figure out what to do in event of a tie when there's a tie.

We have some ideas in how to handle the tie, but Lasz will be the final arbiter of that, this contest is his baby and he's putting up the prize on behalf of all the staff this time around.

Here's how it goes: We'll keep accepting entries until a week from Friday, which I believe is the 8th of December. Only one entry per person. Then we'll take all of the entries, and evaluate them - if you send in a perfect entry, you are guaranteed to win something. If no one sends in a perfect entry, then we'll take the next-best set of entries (ie, all of the entries that got three correct, or whatever) and each of them will be guaranteed to win something.

The amount of amazon money that is awarded and the number of people receiving the prize depends on how many "most correct" entries we receive. But do not worry! There will eventually be a winner or set of winners, and all you can do is either send in your entry, or wait.

And yes, the CoNtest is indeed real, Hamedo. It's like Santa Claus or the moon landing, except that it exists.

Great idea for a contest, guys. I'll try and submit an entry soon. But were there any clues to the identities, such as an opposite personality, the staffer posting based off of their own pet peeve? Or were the characters crafted in a random way, independant of each participating staffer?

What's the fun in telling you? All I can say is that each fake was an independent creation of its creator. Go and read the post histories of the four fakes, and try to think of which staff members would do those things. C'est tout.

I entered, but since I don't know any of the staff personally, and have only talked to a few (on IRC), my guesses are in the dark...

Great contest. Very creative...the only ones I noticed was the furry and chou, though. I thought it was strange chou never got banned... although I never suspected it was something like this.

Ok still confused...So is the Green Mage who wrote "selphies training" a fake? Or is that an acutal member. The only reason I ask is because the "fake" person is constantly refered to as "The Green Mage". Im not sure if Green Mage and The Green mage are the same... I might sound stupid but I wanted to know if the person I defended was real or not.
