I'm not sure, mainly I do forget, but dont you have to get some of Shadows dreams in the WoB? Someone told me that, but I do not see how it is possible because Shadow leaves so often.
(I used to know this like 7 years ago when I played this) (As you can see I'm playing again and do remember a lot) Anyways, How many dreams have you found? Square says there are 6-7 and people I know have only found five. I just got Shadow again from the colloseum. After I rescued him from The Cave of the Veldt, and back in Thasama, he had that small 1 minute dream as being Clyde. This is as being my 1st Dream I have found. Anyways, He (Clyde) was walking away from interceptor telling him "To take care of himself (interceptor) and the girl (the girl being..?" and the dream looked like it took place in Thasama. This really does sound like Relm being Shadows daughter.. dont you see the connection just a bit? Interceptor and Relm... Oh well, that just came to my head Anyways, if you are able to get all of the dreams in the WoR (Which I think you can), can you refresh my memory and tell me where all of the dreams are located and which characters you must have in your party? I just got the very small dream in Thasama. -------------------- "FFII/FFIV is simply the best role playing game ever created." - 1994-2006 |

It's random town by town, you sleep in an inn at any given town and you have a chance at a flashback.
However one Dream can only be seen by not waiting for Shadow at the floating continent and instead seeing it with Relm. Kind of something unsuspected to see them all, but if you ask me having Shadow outweighs seeing that flashback. The dream sequences really add to the story. Makes Shadow my favorite character in the game. -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

So, out of curiousity, the game intends you to think there is some connection between Shadow and Relm?
It's been awhile, this is actually the only thing about the game I forget, was his dreams. -------------------- "FFII/FFIV is simply the best role playing game ever created." - 1994-2006 |

5 Dreams:
1) The dream after saving him in Cave of the Veldt: Clyde is in Thasma, walking away from interceptor telling him to look after the girl as if he was going somewhere 2) Baram appears in the black screen with the shreiking (Demi) sound: "I'm done for now.." "Find me here please Clyde" and disappears 3) Train robbery, stolen 3 Million GP. Tells Clyde its time to change his name to something like "Shadow" 4) Baram gets extremely hurt, asks Clyde to finish him. Shadow (Clyde) wouldnt finish (kill him) because he couldnt do it. Baram: "How dare you Clyde!!" 5) Shadow (Clyde) doesnt know where he is. He is in Thasama. GIRL: "Stay with me now" Shadow: "Where am i?" 6) Didnt get to see, because I saved Shadow. These may not be in order, but what do you possibily think these dreams relate to when they ARE in order? There are no hints in the game that relates to Shadows dreams. The only thing I can think of is.. Shadow because Shadow when Baram died because Shadow couldnt kill him off. Then I believe he became Exile in a Ninja way, and ran away from life changing his name, and life. He left Relm and the girl that had Relm in Thasama before that, then ran off. The only problem is, in the 1st dream when he ran off, Interceptor didnt go with him.. What do you guys think, and what do you think these dreams relate to? -------------------- "FFII/FFIV is simply the best role playing game ever created." - 1994-2006 |

I think the dreams are just something else to speculate about. I for one got really exited when i started seeing these flashbacks, but couldn't remember any conclusion being drawn from them as to Shadow/Relm's past.
I don't think they really need a conclusion to that side story, as all FF's leave us to speculate about any unanswered questions. |

Quote (Sabin044 @ 6th November 2006 23:57) How many dreams have you found? Square says there are 6-7 and people I know have only found five. That's 'cause there are only five dreams - six if you count Relm's, which can only be acquired if you do not wait for Shadow on the Floating Continent. Square has never officially claimed the presence of more than these, and the endless hacking of the game's ROM proves there are no extra dreams. Quote (mertinatron) I for one got really exited when i started seeing these flashbacks, but couldn't remember any conclusion being drawn from them as to Shadow/Relm's past. Shadow's fifth and final dream as well as Relm's single dream (which is an alternate version of Shadow's fifth dream, but from Relm's point-of-view) definitely make the two characters' connection clear, in my opinion: Possible spoilers: highlight to view Shadow's fifth dream, as you're likely aware of, shows Shadow/Clyde leaving Relm and his wife in Thamasa (and attempting to leave Interceptor behind, too). Relm's dream, however, portrays her as sitting in the floor of Strago's house (whom, as an NPC in Thamasa's item shop informs us, is actually of no relation to Relm, but is rather a grandfather-esque figure due to him being a friend of her father's). She then asks Strago, "Is daddy ever coming back?", or something very much along those lines. Interceptor also silently leaves the house during this exchange, for an obvious purpose. Aside from its general confirmation, those two aformentioned dreams alone (particularly the latter one) pretty much conclude Shadow's and Relm's relationship more so than the other dreams. Quote (Sabin044) The only problem is, in the 1st dream when he ran off, Interceptor didnt go with him.. Watch it again; Interceptor does indeed go along with him (and that one's technically the fifth dream in terms of the timeline, seeing as how the game expects the first four dreams to be viewed during the WoB). True. It would also be nice is square kind of explained or let us know WHY shadow became shadow.. maybe because of the whole Baram issue?

Though personally, I like to think that Relm IS Strago's actual granddaughter, and the whole town is keeping it hush hush for his sake (would YOU want the world to know your daughter fell in love with and had the kid of the world's greatest thief/mercenary/assassin?).

Your wrong. Stago and Relm have different last names, and Shadow came right after Relm in the ending scenes, then Strago came right after Shadow, so Shadow was in the middle. Stragos last name was Magus. Perhaps Strago could have been her grandfather on the girls side of the family.

*snrk* I'm not saying Relm isn't Shadow's daughter; just saying it's possible for her to also be Strago's true granddaughter.
If Shadow/Clyde waited to leave until Relm was old enough to know him as "Daddy," there was plenty of time to name her after her father. -------------------- |
