Glad to see that AmaCoN has a Canadian division -- or in other words, it works with Amazon.ca. I think it does. It's on the AmaCoN page and I just made a purchase.

There is apparently no Amazon Smile for Amazon.ca (which seems to be fully unlinked from the main Amazon site, the same way you can't get Amazon.jp stuff on main Amazon), but oh well.

You might be the first person to use .ca... if that's what you're telling me just happened.

Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? Or perhaps buying a really good looking shirt?

Not my fault that the book was less than CA$11 on Amazon.ca and similarly priced on Abebooks (i.e. ~US$15 including shipping), but then upwards of US$150 like everywhere else.

Maybe I'm dense, but something isn't very clear to me: I saved a bunch of stuffs to my list before going through AmaCon. As long as I go through one of your links before adding those items to my cart, all's good, yes?

You're not dense, Amazon makes it difficult. If you have stuff saved in a shopping list or wish list, AmaCoN should get credit as long as your cart is empty and you close all of your Amazon tabs before using an AmaCoN link to start shopping.

Final Fantasy V by Chris Kohler

Someone wrote a book about Final Fantasy V which is about to become the first book I've ever bought for myself...weird that I've never wanted a book to read. Hm.

I'd like to get a paperback and perhaps I will at some point, but for now, I'll go with the e-book version. Money's tight, after all.

I do believe it comes with a charging cable, which, while very short by normal video game controller standards, can be extended with usb extension cables.

8BDO do some very good bluetooth controllers, from my research earlier this year. In fact, I wish I'd bought this one (or the previous version of it) instead of the cheaper one I got for my Raspberry Pi, as these are much easier to get synced from what I understand. I think the higher price is probably worth it just from the frustration I had getting my cheaped-out one working.

And to GMH's question, yes, this can be used wired and it comes with a 4' cable. A USB extender should work fine with it as well, as Spooniest mentioned. I think one like https://amzn.to/2LZxhLO would be sufficient, unless the device you're trying to connect it to supports USB-C, and then you'd likely want something more like https://amzn.to/2Mj5Vx9.

Now, if they start restocking the vastly superior Super Famicom colorway on Prime...

No problems hooking it up, but in the middle of moving and not sure where I'll land, plus having an allergic reaction to the dust kicked up by moving all the things, so worried I will miss work. Pressure, yey, I luv it.

Let us know whether you have an issue with one of the analog sticks getting stuck, and if so, whether the suggestion (on the Amazon page) of loosening the screws fixes it.

I guess I'll bump this topic too to mention that last week, I fixed all of the AmaCoN content on the site. It's not as fancy as it was when this thread started, but it's back working now so at least people who want to support CoN via Amazon don't have to ask me directly for help any more.

The AmaCoN page's search boxes seem to work, and I made a purchase using it earlier this month. I'll be making another one again in the near future, so I hope that earlier one worked!

That said, I noticed that the search plugin for Firefox doesn't seem to work. I typed in my search query and i get a page of gibberish located at https://www.cavesofnarshe.com/amacon/amacon...kemon&locale=us as a result.

For reference, I'm on regular ol' Firefox, version 149.0.2, as distributed by the Linux Mint app repository.

I don't mind visiting the AmaCoN page to use AmaCoN every time -- that's what I'd basically been doing for years anyway -- but just wanted to let you know.

Thanks for the info - I mentioned it in Discord but I didn't think those extensions even worked any more and I thought I'd actually removed them from the site when I did the last work. I'll take another look and see if maybe they can be made to work again, since it looks like they still install okay but just have errors on the CoN server side.

2. I get what appears to be a 404 from Amazon itself, as it says it can't find the page and shows me a picture of a dog.

Thanks for that, most of my signature hasn't changed in ages so that's probably been broken forever. Updating it as soon as I post this!

Regarding whether it works with Prime - I think it should, but they do an excellent job of making things not work for any reason they can come up with because obviously they don't want to pay out all that much. Give it a try and we can find out together (unless someone in chat already knows).
