What was the name again of the big spear guy you get early in the game?
The psx version i mean That guy is just so powerful that he can literally beat up enemies in no time. I also noticed something cool in ff tactics which is being able to combine combos and do extra damage and holy mother of god does it hit hard. -------------------- We are stardust. Our bodies are made from the guts of exploding stars. The only character I can think of that uses anything like a "big spear" would be Gafgarion when he uses "Night Sword." It's the only thing remotely like a spear on an early guest/player. Otherwise, I think you might be mistaken, given that there aren't really combos in FFT either aside from job/ability. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? Ok,my mistake. I haven't played FF tactics all that much and am playing it little by little. I noticed something interesting about ff tactics:If you put 3 characters next to a enemy, all 3 will attack at the same time and result in a lot more damage. The first time i saw this,i was impressed by the amount of damage done by all 3 combining their attack on 1. -------------------- We are stardust. Our bodies are made from the guts of exploding stars. Are you thinking of Disgaea? -------------------- |

I have a question:do all classes in the end turn out to be multi skilled in everything? Or is there like:class restriction things with certain skills only available to warrior like classes?

Quote (Samurai @ 20th March 2010 22:41) Wizard Mathskill (holy learned) anything anything anything anything anything anything chameleon robe anything no debate, the most powerful unit available, it can one shot the entire field and heal itself. Really now? I had my Ramza jacked out so that there was only a 3% chance to hit him with anything, physical or magical, even from behind. So I gotta say that doesn't seem convincing to me. Unless the calculator class has a 100% hit chace by default which would override my defenses, but I don't remember anything like that so I'm going to assume that isn't the case. Also, I was doing max damage just hitting things. I'd post my old setup, but it's been a good 6 or so years since I played the game up until about a week ago when I restarted it, so I don't really remember the specifics as of right now. Once I get to the late game again and refigure it out I'll post it. -------------------- FFVA SCC: Party of Thieves, stuck at Byblos |

My favorite fighter is not the best, at least in my opinion. I like Orators cuz they fire guns and talk smack! I give him/her a Black Robe to boost the power of the spell guns, a Ribbon if she's female, Hermes Shoes to boost speed, and Arts of War as a second ability set. Magic Counter, Move-Recover HP, and Defense Boost to top it off.

Monks... Nuff' said...
Punch Art Fundaments (for Focus (Accumulate)) Shirahadori (Blade Grasp) with Brave 97 Dual Wield (Two Swords) Move+3 or Teleport... Bare-handed with 97 Brave + Dual Wield At level 99, each punch can do 500+ damage if you leveled up all 98 levels as a monk (using the level up-down trick of course). So, you can kill everything in 2 turns... On max... -------------------- While theres a tomorrow, my laziness is immortal |

In my opinion:
Br-97/Fa-03 Monk Steal Sunken State Defense up Teleport power sleeve (+2AT) vanish mantle (just because you get it sooner and easier than the secret clothes) I always make him a capricorn. |

You can have two skills on any fighter so you mean best skill. One of:
Forms of Sword Skill, Math Skill, Draw Out, Item depending on the situation. The characters can't be programmed to be invincible as it would defeat the games purpose. Any skill that can happen automatically without cost. Anything that needs time depends on your taste. Fight would be good without Blade Grasp/Hamedo like stuff. -------------------- https://www.youtube.com/user/Greatermaxim Terra - LV 99 - HP 9999 - MP 999 Equipment - - - Abilities Illumina - - - - - Fight Genji Shield - - Morph Oath Veil - - - - Magic Minerva - - - - - Item Ribbon Economizer |
