Since I had one thread turned into one big sketch dump for all the stuph I done of the female persuasion, figure I'd make one spot for all my misc fanart...hence the title.
![]() Ahkay, first up we have fanart from a movie no one has ever heard of. Way of the Gun. Done by the guy who wrote The Usual Suspects...another movie most of you wouldn't know...as opposed to all of you...like for the Way of the Gun. I read that line a few times and it makes sense to me, so shaddap 'n look at the purty picture. ![]() ![]() Now something a bit more familiar... ![]() This post has been edited by Narratorway on 18th November 2007 08:19 -------------------- |

Ooh. I like the design on the first one, and the artwork is good on the second, but i can't pinpoint the last character...he kinda looks like an angry vicar

Being the KP freak that I am, that's Dr. Drakken. Both of the sketches came out really well

Well, they's having another sketch jamon another forum. The theme this month is swords and sorcery, so I hit 'em with some GENERIC FANTASY ART! *BAM*
![]() Wizards just some old dude face I was making, then attached robes with. Might end up putting some photoshop lens flare horsepucky above his hand or something like that. The other guy is either Conan fanart or just GENERIC BARBARIAN *BAM*. But for the sake of the thread title, we'll say iz Conan (by Crom!). -------------------- |

Oh chief I never kiss and tell. It's up to you to find out where the wizard came from...as well as this picture.
![]() ![]() Oh and speaking of the wizard, I updated the picture he's in with another character. Here's another picture I honestly can't remember if I've shown around here a'fore. So here it is...possibly again. ![]() This post has been edited by Narratorway on 5th October 2005 08:17 -------------------- |

"Oh chief I never kiss and tell. It's up to you to find out where the wizard came from...," lol, pulease! Methinks you're full of it
![]() Through all the sketches I've seen posted from ye, one thing I've noticed is your ability to depict movement. Seriously, I'm impressed...does that come naturally to ye now, or do ye still have to look to, ahhh, references...like I do? -------------------- |

Great pics once again, you really do seem to have a thing for poses and movement as Galsic said, I always have slight trouble with that.

The elf girl in the robe is very well done. I think her pose and the flow of her hair and robe is fantastic. Maybe consider doing something more with that one since its so good.

Continueing with the fantasy fanart theme that I'm going with for the month, I spun out this lovely lil blast from my hazy past.
By the by Bum, the previous character is an ardvark. Goes by the name of Cerebus. This post has been edited by Narratorway on 19th October 2005 06:06 -------------------- |

Ardvark huh? I was gonna guess pig, but I knew that wasn't right. Impressive, even if it isn't a pig warrior. Everyone know pigs are better with a sword than ardvarks.
I like the last pics body structure a lot. Until recently I only remember you drawing characters with thin arms and legs. I like the way you do the limb muscles for this guy and the barbarian. -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

I happened upon a recent VG Cats comic and found it funny as hell because it illustrated something I've always felt compelled to announce in some fashion. Since the artist there was brave enough to hint at the obvious, I finally decided to just shout it out loud in a brazen fashion.
The Blob aint a mutant. (Linked due to naughty waughty language) As I looked at it, I realized it kinda comes off PA one pass rip off, both in style and the joke, but it really wasn't the intention. We just tend to see eye to eye on things. ![]() -------------------- |

Lol, ye sure likes your skinny folk and, up til now, they actually worked for me. I think ye went a wee bit too far this time, though, at least with the wrists and ankles. For someone who's supposed to come off as strong, she looks pretty fragile; like her hands and feet are barely hanging by toothpicks and are just about ready to fall off at any moment. I suppose it's just a sketch, so I ought to cut ye some slack, but...them toothpicks bothered me, so I felt compelled to comment on them
![]() Oh, and that's quite the loose interpretation of an aardvark ![]() -------------------- |

He's weilding a broadsword and wearing a vest, so yeah...I'll hafta agree it's a pretty loose interpretation. And since the girl has no nose, mouth, or pupils to speak of, she's gotta be taken on faith as well. That's the point. I will admit, I don't like how her right arm came out though. Should be shorter and beefier in that respects, but eh...I'll fix it in post.
![]() Here's something a lil different. Some more Count Your Sheep fanart. I liked how Katie and Laurie came out for the most part, but I don't like the clothing. Not very striking, and it's always been one of my biggest weaknesses. I just can't design for shit. ![]() This is fanart from an old little known Disney flick from the eighties called The Black Cauldron. Saw it only once on tv recently and it really struck me as one of those movies that really had potential if they took what was good (dark fantasy element) and ran with it. Instead, it's a pretty bad flick all around. Oh well... -------------------- |

I vaguely remember the black cauldron thing. Very vaguely...but when I saw your pic it seemed familiar to me. Good job on that one.
I don't know much about the Count Your Sheep comic. The sheep and little girl are okay, but I think the tall girl is the best. I like her expression and the scarf. Her right foot kinda looks like a hoof instead of a shoe, though. The Blob joke is pretty good. But I think you should've had Cyclops call him a fat bastard instead. I have no idea who the girl with the sai is. -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

The clothing on the sheep one looks pretty sensible to me; I'm not sure I would have done anything different. And there's just something about that lil sheep that tugs at me heart
![]() BTW, I believe sai lady is Elektra, a Marvel comic book character, recently played by that weird-looking Alias chick in the movie adaption (Jennifer Garner, right?). -------------------- |

Lol, uhhh, last I heard, ambrosia was out of Greek mythology. Since when was it a part of Norse mythology? Still, Thor's pained expression got a chuckle out of me, heh.
Apocalypse, huh? I can't say this is the most ambitious drawing I've seen from ye. It would of been kinda nice if he was shown displaying at least a little of the power that makes him such a badass because, well, I'm sure you're capable of that. As he is now, though, the only impression I'm getting from him is "Grrr, fear me." It's still a nifty drawing, though. -------------------- |

Ye know, I tried to let someone besides me comment, but...oops, heh. Anyhoo...
The Usagi Yojimbo one's pretty nifty, although I can't fathom why ol' Bullwinkle had to die. It just makes me wanna punch that silly rabbit in the face! ![]() The emo one apparently went over me head, but it looks okay, too. The rockin' Santa's pretty slick. Is that Flash? I can't tell... Billy and Mandy, heh. Your depiction isn't their usual design, but it's otherwise pretty accurate, not that Billy and Mandy (or a lot of Cartoon Network's shows, for that matter) is all that artistically ambitious, but whatever, cool beans ![]() Now where are the rest of the spectators? I can't be the only stroking your ego...er...praising your work here, hee hee. -------------------- |
