The Bulls beat the Celtics in game one. As a die-hard grandson of a Chicago Steel Worker, I actually am enthused.
Also...this makes me think of Jordan Vs. Bird on the NES. Thoughts? You guys know the difference between a jump shot and a layup right? This post has been edited by Spooniest on 17th April 2017 11:09 -------------------- X is blue. |

Are you as enthused that the Blackhawks are simultaneously choking in the Stanley Cup Playoffs?
As a native Illinoisan, I naturally grew up watching the Jordan-era Bulls. My mom met most of those early-90s teams through work, and I still have a number of their autographs back at my parents' house; I definitely remember having Jordan, Pippen, Cartwright, and Armstrong at least. I was also on the court and in the press box when the Celtics won their last title almost ten years ago. I don't watch much NBA any more, though I still follow the news somewhat and tend to watch a few games in the playoffs. I like watching the Warriors because I've enjoyed watching Curry since he was in college, and Steve Kerr will forever be one of my all-time favorites as he was a big support player to two of my favorite players of all time and just seems like an all-around amazing guy. A Warriors/Celtics final this year would probably make me tune in. Also, weren't you saying just a couple weeks ago that you weren't sure if basketball was the sport with the two-pointers and three-pointers or something like that? -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

It was facetious...I actually scored a 3-pointer or two in my time. I know sports, I just don't work in that field. I am the half-time show, not the quarterback. -------------------- X is blue. |

I'm a long-suffering Wizards fan who goes to at least two or three NBA games a year. I'm gonna get tickets for Wiz-Hawks game 5 if they Wiz don't sweep (and they won't).

In all seriousness, I'm pumped for the prospect of getting to face the Bulls instead of the Celtics in round 2. Assuming we make it to round 2. Go Wizards! -------------------- I find your lack of faith disturbing... |

Quote (Spooniest @ 17th April 2017 05:09) The Bulls beat the Celtics in game one. Welp, that didn't work out so well in the end, did it. I can't decide if the Celtics are destined to just magically stumble their way to the title this year or they're just waiting for the luck to run out. They surely can't continue digging themselves holes and then digging themselves back out. But it's entertaining, to be sure. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |
