My favorite final boss battle music is from Final Fantasy VI, though I thought FFX final boss music was pretty cool too.

Out of those, I've only heard the ones for 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 10-2 (pft, *only*) and I can't remember the one for 4. I liked most of those, but my favourite was for FF10. I'm not really sure why.
At the time of playing, my favourite was ff7, but I've since become very sick of The One Winged Angel theme. You can only hear it so much. I also really liked the one for FF9. But of course, FFV's was awesome. It's a perfect way to define something like X Death. With all that evil tune.. Ahh... Gotta love the drums and the banjo

wow...a definite favorite? wow... i guess im picking "the extreme", from ff8. after going through 4 or so forms, and finally, im hoping "this better be the last form!", and they gave her an awesome final boss theme. i love all the others, but that one is just really cool.
ff1-5, while great, got a little monotonous, which is understandable, since they were made a while back.(i usually take awhile to beat the final bosses, so im like, "well, its nirvana time!"  )ff6/dancing mad. yes, i was absolutely stunned when i beat that game when i was 9 or 10 or so. ff7/ yes, one winged angel is cool. i even memorized the lyrics, which i never thought id be able to do before. ^^; ff8/ yes. ff9/ gotta love the moans of agony in the background...mm...screams of anguish...*drools like homer simpson* yes, i really do love the final boss musics  -------------------- |

Dancing Mad, definitely. It just says "Kefka, we can't stand for this! We're coming for you!" for our heroes, and "O RLY? Bring it, uwee hee hee!" for the mad clown o' doom.
