I've been just wondering...about Ramza being a mercenary. He was fighting for the Hokuten Knights at the beginning of the game ( Along with Rad and Gafgarion), against the Nanten Knights. He was fighting for justice, or because he was confused about being a Beoulve, or he had his own motivations to led the path of mercenary??. What if Ramza had never seen Delita alive?...it would be the same?

he was only with the Hokuten in the flashback...then he didn't want to be used...so he became a mercenary with gafgarion and rad....after the delita incident when they meet at Zirekile Falls, and Ramza takes things into his own hands and does whatever he wants and feels right...thus the story begins...i think i think even if he didn't see delita...things would be the same...he'd just have less motivation...srry if that doesn't answer anything

Basically, chocobo's covered much of it. Delita was motivation for him to want to figure things out at that point. I agree that had he not seen Delita, he would have eventually separated from Gafgarion. He would've been a tad too noble to take part in such a plot as Gaf was involved in with the Cardinal, in my humble opinion. Eventually Ramza would've read into things and would go "Screw you guys, I'm cleanin' up this mess." Again, though, this is all my humble opinion.

Well, it's understandable to not really know what follows what, particularly because the inkling of foreshadow that Ramza gives happens in a few sparse words during the Zeakden aftermath:
Quote (Ramza) I've taken my whole life for granted. When it came down to it I dropped it all and ran. So, from what is shown in present day Orbonne and two years (right?) earlier in Gallione, it's safe to say that Ramza forewent his heritage and just dropped relations with his family for the most part, which you can probably expect would have put a damper on ties with his brothers (who "sort of" recognized him as a half-brother rather than full blood). How Ramza met Gafgarion and Rad is up in the air, really, but since Gafgarion was relatively well-known in the Gallione region (see: bio) and was hired by the Hokuten, I don't expect that Ramza completely severed ties. Anyway, just my thoughts. This post has been edited by Shotgunnova on 11th October 2005 08:23 -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |
