Man, I miss that old MB sometimes. Those were some good times. If I'm remembering right, I was posting over there almost eight years ago. I remember the CoN when it was a dinky little webpage that this Rangers guy kept bugging us all to go visit. smile.gif

The ones I can remember are myself, Elena1999, Tommah, and Rubicant. I know a few others showed up for short periods of time, like Mega64 for a couple of posts, and NeoDrKefka, as awkward as he was. wink.gif

Can you hear it breathing?
And hey, put the laptop down for a while
In the night there is something wild
I feel it, it's leaving me

and, of course, the black sheep. ffaddic came here for like 2 days once, but it seems many people were offended by his peculiar brand of humour and i don't believe i've he's been back since.

while at this point it is exceedingly difficult to consider the prospect of actually using the aol software to access the internet, those certainly were fun times back at ff3 mb (and harvest moon, to be sure). it always seemed the quality of the posts there was far most conducive to discussion (even when over half the board was enbroiled in a pointless war against tmgiygas) -- but it could just be that i was younger and more easily entertained.

I'll ask addic next time I see him online, but I don't think CoN members ran him off as that seems to imply. I think he's just naturally flighty like that.

Sylphid comes every now and again still, too. I can't remember his SN that he used back at AOL, but I'm pretty sure he was there for a while. Neal probably remembers if Sylphid doesn't see this.
Edit
Neal reminded me - Workskid/Youspirit

You must be mostly talking about the HM board, Goz, because I remember most of the last three years of the FF3 board to be a complete waste (but not as bad as FFT). Maybe because I was less young and less easily entertained than you.

I remember the obvious people but anyone else I can remember were just people that annoyed the heck out of me. Like that one guy, PSuX or something like that. Ignorance at its finest. I'm not Sony's whore but I think anyone that can say that all PSX games (and PS2 games for that matter) are crap is just plain ignorant and depriving themself of some great games.

I also remember this one guy who seemed to always be throwing Christianity down everyone's throat named MathJMan or something like that. Note: I am not against Christianity, just some of it's believers. This is not an insult I am just speaking of who I remember. If you don't shove it down my throat, I am ok with you. =)

Uh, yes it does. Sorry that it has nothing to do with the topic at hand, though. -R51

The old AOL system was excellent, I loved everything about ‘ancient AOL‘. It was a nice new system that explored some interesting features. Anyone ever play one of the first MMOs out there? I am not talking about the old MUD games that AOL was plagued with but games like Neverwinter Nights. Then of course there were chat room programs like Final Fantasy Extreme that you can battle others in an AOL chat.

I miss those days but very quickly after AOL 3.0 it was kicking out certain forums that were created by certain members to ease the competition for Gamepro and ANT. I don’t know if ANT or Gamepro are still on AOL but after that forced Gamewiz to pretty much shut down his forum, I was ready to go.

Aren’t all twelve/thirteen year olds on the internet awkward? Lol Then again, I am still considered awkward when I post on certain message boards. After all, I am one of the few Republicans that post on RPG internet message boards. wink.gif

Oh and here is an updated picture of me. It was a joke picture after my son was born.

I was there. Under the name "Nistelle." Hung out primarily in "Final Fiction," though (God, good times there. Anyone from Final Fiction? REPRESENT).

I'm not sure exactly which AOL FF3 MB we're talking about, but I used to frequent the FF3 boards at both Keyword: Gamewiz and Keyword: Video Games. Spent most of my time at the Gamewiz forums though. My screen name was Sojourn76.

Seems like a long time ago. I guess it was...
