It's been a long time since I've done any fanart of any kind, I did these recently so I could try out different techniques, thought I'd post 'em here as well.

I quite like the Cosmo and Wander pic, but the Kim Shego one wasn't that good IMO.

Kim Shego: Interesting concept, but I quickly saw the eye going one way and the eyebrow going the other, didn't quite work for me. The lil' patterns were kind of neat, though.
Cosmo and Wanda: Now this, on the other hand, worked a lot better. Ye did a pretter good job on the coloring. The only major problem I can spot here are their smaller eyes. Even if their faces are at an angle, their eyes shouldn't shrink so much as get a bit, uhhh, smashed horizontal-wise (at the very least they shouldn't be sooo small). There are other minor structural issues, too, but honestly, this is a huge improvement over the actual cartoon (I mean, seriously, what kind of lazy job is that? ![]() Evil Boy Genius: Wow, ye kept all four looking pretty consistent ![]() -------------------- |

Being the Fairly Oddparents fan that I am, I have to say I really wuv your Cosmo and Wanda piccy! I like how you tried to make them seem a little more... well, human, I guess, but they aren't really humans... lol, never mind :-P
Although, I don't really like how they have one big eye, and then a painfully miniscule eye. Other than that, that pic is teh beautimus! ![]() -------------------- John: So you don't want your screen saver to come on for another four hours? Me: Where does it say that? John: Here where it was 240 minutes. Me: Is that four hours? John: Yeah, 60 X 4. Me: Is that four hours, though? John: ....They'll never take you back in school. xD; |

COSMO AND WANDA! w00t. That one is very well done. The Evil Boy Genius one... I don't know what that's from (or did you make him up?), but that one's pretty schweet as well.

I like the Evil Boy Genius one the best. Other than what's been mentioned, I think the hand in the top-left image could benefit from a li'l tweaking; as it is, the almost perfectly aligned fingers making up the partial fist cause his hand to appear a bit large and disproportioned. Moving the pinky finger down some to clarify the difference in length should fix that. Just minor imperfections there, but a great drawing nonetheless!
The Cosmo and Wanda pic is quite creative, I think (though, unlike Galsic, I personally wouldn't say their original incarnations are lazy work. It's all 'bout artistic style). It's almost surprising how well the characters translate to 'anti-chibi'. ![]() This post has been edited by SilverFork on 27th September 2005 04:52 -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. As the title of the thread suggests, the Evil Boy Genius is also fanart, specifically from the WB cartoon "Shaolin Showdown." I'll add that, in terms of accuracy, Bum's Rush's rendition is actually pretty close without being jest a copy of the actual character. Again, well done, bud ![]() -------------------- |

Acutally, it's spelled "Xaolin Showdown" if I recall correctly, and I'm glad it came out good, I was drawing him from memory and it was 5am, kind of like Kame's Insomniac Sketch. So thanks! But now I'm kind of stumped of what to draw now, though now that I'm going through Chrono Trigger for the first time (yes I'm just barely playing it, loving it so far!) I'd might to a pic from there, and I kind of have an idea of who. -------------------- |

Don't recognize the characters (KimPossible again?) but the forms look about right, although, admittedly, there ain't a whole lot there. The chick reminds me of Cammy's profile pic from Super Street Figher II, also, heh.

More MSpaint Pictures! This time of Crono from Crono Trigger, I sketched this from my current desktop wallpaper, the pose isn't mine but I drew it.
![]() I am in the works of a hand drawn CT fanart, maybe it'll even be colored! (Gasp!) cuz I need to practice on my coloring, pencil shading isn't gonna cut it forever. -------------------- |

I'm familiar with the pose (Crono dash-lunging with both hands on the sword), but from that sketch, his action is blurred so that, to me, it looks like one leg is off to the right and the other is planted. Might be because the sketch ended at the side of the paper or something, but yeah, I like it (for lack of a better intensive).

I did some adjustments to it the other night, I dunno if it makes it more understandable though.

Wow! That's not bad for MSPaint! Ever thing about investing in your own copy of photoshop?

Quote Wow! That's not bad for MSPaint! Ever thing about investing in your own copy of photoshop? (Laughs for a few minutes) Oh...you're serious. I have considered it, but my budget is VERY limted. How limited? Well for starters I have no job, but I am gonna go out looking fer one tomorrow, and I've been meaning to ask my friend if there's any openings at the place he works at. But those programs are mighty hefty, I'd have to save up a lot of checks to get one, but that's considering the fact that I'm gonna help with the bills and my Road Runner and Cell Phone bills. But I guess once I get some cash in my way, I'll start looking around for some good programs. But I'm quite content with MSPaint for now, I'm slowly improving myself with it. -------------------- |

Cool beans, man. I told meself that wasn't going to respond to MS Paint stuff anymore, but that last one really isn't too bad. Seeing that it is MS Paint, I won't knitpick it.
