So I took a mid-day nap today, and during the nap, I came up with a whole bunch of movie scenes of a movie that, in my dream, existed. But I know of no such movie in real life...so I decided I'd write it down somewhere. Here, at CoN, to be exact, to see what y'all think of these ideas.

Some black gangster, running from something, ends up in a whorehouse and has sexual intercourse with this prostitute (no sex scene, of course, because that's not the point, and because that didn't appear in my dream either). Something happens, such that the prostitute ends up being pursued by either the authorities or by that same gangster, and somehow, she ends up seeking shelter in a Buddhist temple. However, with the pursuer(s?) on her tail, something happens somehow and this warp gate it opened (I'm not sure if it's a time warp yet). However, before she can go in, there's this Asian-looking middle-aged guy who bans her from speaking--literally, she cannot open her mouth to communicate. So, she goes through the warp anyways, and later, her son is born, and he grows up.

It becomes this son's quest to undo the curse put upon his mother.

Another thing to note, of course, is that I had, last night, this LONG conversation with an old friend, who said she likes gangster movies, who is Buddhist, and who, like me, hates sex scenes in movies.

Also, I've been known to come up with stories of liberation and/or vengeance.

That's quite a good story, but i'm not sure about the warpy thingy. Good concept though, i like it.

I'm sure if some things are altered and elaborated (to make more sense) it'd make quite an interesting story. But that's dreams for ya, putting up random stuff together into a sequence that most of the times doesn't make sense.

Anyway, sounds like something I'D dream up, lol. Except howabout this: in order to learn how to undo the curse, the son has to seek the guidance of... THE TACO OF OMNIPOTENCE!

I think mine makes more sense. Maybe you should fill in the details a little bit more. Things that seem good in dreams rarely pan out once you're awake and can ask questions like WTF.

One time I dreamt that I beat Byblos (finally!) in my Thief SCC, with only Reina and Galuf alive. After that, I forgot to statesave the part, and by accident after I beat Byblos, IT TOOK ME BACK TO THE SAVE POINT!!! D'gahh!!

Before this thread dies, I'd like to point out something.

I started this topic NOT for people to post what their dreams were like, but for people to comment on the stub of a story that I'd come up with and then give suggestions on how to expand it. What are your thoughts on this story so far, like, what should be changed, and how should it continue?

That's often the case, but this time, I actually thought about it, and felt that it had the potential to be made into a real plot of a real movie. (Especially since it 'appeared' in the dream as a movie trailer.)
