I got this as a 1-day late bday present this year.
![]() Like the first Katamari, it's fun, random and whimsical, with interesting levels and lovely music. Instead of specific stars and constellations, this time you're doing requests from Katamari fans. You have levels where you collect clouds, flowers, cranes, have to light a campfire, go underwater, etc. You can also find a new cousin in each level, and switch over to using them as your avatar instead of The Prince. The only real downside is that, in the meadow (menu screen), the fans will often get your attention by saying "Hello!" "Oi!" "Your Magesty!" over and over. This means that if you go to the menu screen and leave the room for a moment, it'll keep saying "Hello!" "Hello!" over and over again until you come back, annoying anyone who may be in the room. My favourite levels so far are the firefly capture level, and the elephant level. Who else loves Katamari? -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

Sadly, I never got to own the first game. I will be buying "We Love Katamari" for sure, though, because I do love Katamari. These days, it's hard for me to want to use up precious cash on games that are extensions of existing genres, and I'd rather look for that gem that brings a ton of innovation to the table. The Katamari series is most definitely one of the games that fit this definition for this year.

I love how the plot, such as it is, revolves around the success of the first game. Literally. I guess it works for a weird series such as this one.
I'm beginning to like the sequel better than the first game, mainly 'cause of how varied some of the courses are compared to the ones in Katamari Damacy; now you can roll underwater, demolish a gingerbread house while being chased by a witch, play in the snow, try to roll up the Sun, etc. I also enjoy the flashbacks of Li'l King of All Cosmos. ![]() I haven't finished the game yet, but my favorite course so far is making the big snowman head. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. I just got it today! Since I've only had a PS2 for just over half a year, I never really caught the Katamari craze, but I restrained myself from buying the first game because I knew the sequel was coming soon. I have yet to play it on account of I don't have access to my PS2 right now, but I'll be able to play it tomorrow.

I have not bought it yet, but I am looking forward to it. The preview I saw on X-Play of it made it look better than the first, somthing which was previosly thought impossible.

Got it. Played it. Defeated it. Loved it!
We Love Katamari is such a quirky game that definitely deserves a high ranking. The gameplay, the graphics, and the music are what made me come back to this. I loved everything about We Love Katamari (except the people screaming Hello, Hi, Your Majesty, etc.), especially the music! My only qualm with this game is that it is SOOO short. I defeated it in a few hours. Ugh Favorite stages: 3. Snowman stage 2. Firefly stage 1. Flower Stage Favorite songs: 5. Bluffing Katamari 4. Houston 3. Baby Universe 2. Eternal Love 1. I love Katamari, and this game is on my Christmas list. I've heard two new renditions on the awesome Katamari theme from various sources (the one with dogs barking it and the 80s glam remix of it), and I'm excited. And I'm also overjoyed that the game's premise is as ridiculous as the first, because anything less would have been a disappoinment.

I drove all over town to find it the day it came out.
![]() I think I like this game better than the last one, story-wise, and the two complement each other really well, gameplay-wise. My favourite level is the Sumo one. I ![]() -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

I finally found all of the cousins, rolled them up, and I'm up to a pitiful 5k roses. How are you doing with it, Karabeth? What happens when you get them all?

A rose is a flower with a long, thorny stem. They come in red most commonly, but you can also get them in yellow, white, black, blue, and maybe a few other colours.
Once you do the mission where you roll up all the cousins, you get to roll up a million roses. It takes a long time, it's meant to be done over several tries. -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |
