What song(s) are you currently obssessed with right now? What do you keep pressing repeat button on your CD,MP3 (cassette that you keep playing and rewinding) for? Mine is a song I only just realized how much I liked. It's called Euphoria (Firefly) by Delerium. I am not familiar with Delerium's work. I heard the song on a CD I've had for years called Pure Moods III and I heard it yesterday while I was at work and it's stuck with me. I sing it to myself and keeping playing it over and over again.

One of the CoN members got me on Eisley a while ago, and I particularly like the songs "Lost at Sea" and "Plenty of Paper"
Also: Barenaked Ladies - "War on Drugs" Fatboy Slim - "The Joker" remake (I don't have it, but they play it for one track at my gym in a fitness class, and I love it) Gwen Stefani - "What You Waiting For" Aino Minako (Ayaka Komatsu) - "Romance" (From the Live Action Sailor Moon tv show) Sae - "Kirari Sailor Dream!" (Same as above) The White Stripes - "Jolene" -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

John Lennon is my favorite musician. He was one of the greatest lyricists of all time as well as great composer, so anything written (or co-written) by him is my favorite. My favorite song, however, is Freebird from Lynyrd Skynyrd. In my ideal wedding, Freebird would be the proverbial "our song".

Got a few.
- Captain Beefheart - Sue Egypt. Nice track with just a rocky guitar riff, vocals and what I think is a mellotron droning on in the background, switching to a proggier mellotron and vocal bit in the middle. - Sigur Ros - Hoppipola. A lovely, sprawling and powerful track. Everyone should get this album. - Soft Machine - Moon in June. I've played this once a day atleast for a few months solid. A 19-minute song with everything; heavy guitarwork, lifting bass solos, Robert Wyatt's timeless voice, melodic piano parts... - Tortoise - Five Too Many. A beautiful, ambient track from the best post-rock experimentalists I've ever heard. - North Mississippi Allstars - Otay. A short, sharp, poppy track with an awesome slide guitar. There'r more, but I've got a bus to catch, so I'll edit later. |

I've recently become addicted to the gorillaz. Not all their music, mind you. Just feelgood inc, rock the house, and dare. The rest of their songs sound like what a halletionation would sound like if it were put to music.

Good responses. After posting this topic I downloaded a song off of iTunes and according to the program I have listened to it 48 times since download. I had it on repeat for several hours last night. The song is Shadows on Your Side by Duran Duran. I'm an 80s freak yes.

lately and truly inexplicably, i've been on a big hendrix kick. i would say that learning strictly blues gets old, but i'm reminded that the hendrix song into which i am putting the majority of my time is "red house," so that all but invalidates that excuse. just about the only things i've had in rotation for the past several weeks are the 3 jhe records and an elmore james greatest hits.
anyway, these are the songs i am spending the most time with currently. jhe-red house jhe-one rainy wish (golden rose) jhe-may this be love (waterfall) jhe-little wing elmore james-you got to go stanley bros-this world is not my home dylan-gates of eden |

I haven't been able to stop listening to the Arcade Fire album lately, specifically the tracks 'Neighbourhood #2' and 'Wake Up,' two songs that are just brilliantly written, and 'Crown of Love,' while not exactly a stand-out track, has this great up-tempo 80's-style string section at the end. Most definitely does this enter my top 3 albums of the year.
