I have been playing FFVI for a while now. It was the first ever FF game I ever played and after years of playing I can safely say I have done everything in the game, but it is still fun to play that game.

I've definately exhausted this game beyond no end, tho that doesn't mean I won't play it again, but the last time I had played I got everyone to Level 99 and took my time to customize out everyone's stats to my choosing. Tho then I sold off all my PS stuff and can't even play it anymore anyway.

i understand if you're not an avid gamer,  but i could never sell any of my games or anything again.  the only time i did it is when i sold my genesis and the four games i had for it to get a copy of Turok the Dinosaur Hunter.

On the contrary, I was and still am an avid gamer, just not as much anymore as I've changed my life around for the better. Besides, I needed the money at the time too as I wasn't playing as much at the point when I sold it off.

I've been playing it since it came out.

I can easily say I've done about everything.

If you got a challenge or someting that I might not know.  (It's always possible) Feel free to send it to me.

Monkey of really fast death (That's you SonicDeathmonky!)

I just beat the game (on PSX) without relics.  On the PSX you don't need sprint shoes, but I used them anyway.  It was a realy hard challenge, maybe because I was careless...but I died 6 times...3 on the Velt and 3 more in the same dang room in Kefka's tower, then I had to do all the shopping and reequipting again three times!!!!   I got really mad when that happend...as you can tell.

...and if you DARE tell me to go without Espers and Relics...I'll...I'll...not accept...

I've played it several times, and I've pretty much done, like 90% of everything to be done in the game.

The most I've gotten before is one member: Terra, to level up to 99.

The new game I'm working on has only Shadow at 99 right now, and I'm working over Terra.

If I go through the game another time, my goal would probably be to get through at the lowest level I can until the WoR, where I can go to the Dino Forest and max the levels with Odin equipped.

Then I'll see how fast these guys can really get. :E  I speculate they can go about as fast as 100 or so before they can't go further, depending upon how low a level I am at when I get to the WoR and level up.

Note: Shadow is around 80 speed, give or take some.  That's about as fast Guardian (2) and some of the quicker enemies.  Pretty quick.

I am usually try to see how low of a level I can beat the game. But I have before wasted a crap load of time before getting all my characters up to 99 lvl and have realized that it is just a waste of time and makes the final bosses way to easy.

Sounds fun I'm going to try that some time, do I have to beat the statues as well?

You people are crazy.  No relics wasn't to strenous, but nothing?  That's crazy crazy madness!

But then again...Van Gogh was in the Marianias trench (the deepest trench in the ocean.)  of the pool of crazyness.  But he could paint.  Madness is just a abstract form of genius.

I'll try it I guess.

Haha, go try my challenge:  No weapons (except for people that you can't unequip, like the moogles, Banon, Leo, etc.  and you CAN unequip Mog during the first moogle battle) or espers.  You can never equip an esper.  It is possible to make it through the game...I managed to do it without too much trouble, since special skills really help.  However, you can't use Runic (No sword), which makes TunnelArmor a challenge, or SwdTech (No sword), which makes the first dude you have to fight with Cyan a challenge.  I think my party of choice quickly became Gau, Sabin, Edgar, and Shadow, simply because of StrayCat, Blitz, Tools, and Throw.  But the last battle, the tower of monsters thing, is extremely hard.  Good luck, if you're willing to try...  8)

Sanity!

No weapons or espers eh?  Sounds better then Simian tool's...

That challenge was well thought out.  I'm a hack and slash kinda guy.  (lots of physical attacks) With no weapons or Espers severly limits offensive options.  This makes some of my more...unfavored characters much more useful.  I'll give it a shot when I get back to FF6.

Anyone else gonna give it a shot?

Oh, yeah! Definitely! Hmmm...It makes the whole Ragnarok Sword/Magicite question rather moot, doesn't it?

I'm attempting a low level game right now in order to get crazy 200+ Vigor ratings. I'm halfway through the first world and still most of my character are at level 6. Most people know that you are forced to gain levels to a degree. When a new person joins, he will up the party average since their starting level is typically The Party's Average + A Certain Number. I think I might be able to do a below level 10 game though. There's a good FAQ out there with lots of tips, so we'll see. It's a bigger challenge to do it without cheating (reading an FAQ).

As far as the best maxed stats I've gotten.. I got to the World of Ruin with a Level 18 Celes and ended up actually having my party at around 23 before I started modifing their statistics. I didn't modify their HP or MP so naturally it didn't reach 9999/999 but Celes (or Locke/Edgar/Terra) with 150-180 Vigor, A Genji Glove, Illumina/Ragnarok, Offering, and an Atma Weapon do crazy damage.

The only real reason to do this that I have found (since you will destroy anyone with that set up even with only a 30-40 vigor rating) is so that you can beat Chupon consistently (He'll still sneeze you before you get a chance to go sometimes).

Just bring Relm to the tower (as in she must be a part of the active party) and walk towards the fanatics.  You'll get Strago after a short scene.  There's nothing else to it.

If Relm doesn't verbally rip Strago apart automatically, something's wrong with the game itself as that scene triggers if you take only a couple, if not a single step towards Strago.

I think the coolest thing i ever did was not even use Dino forest and instead have two partys that couldnt be engaged in random battles and use the invisble/x-zone combo on everyone.  When I had to I got three of my people to have ultima.  And on Kefka I just used Shadow on him.  In the end I had all of my chars below 40 besides Terra, Celes, and Locke.  It was fun.
