I consider myself a tactics master through and through. However I must plead ignorance on how excactly you get the draw out abilitiy(samurai) to function. I used a katana but I still couldn't get it to work. Could anyone help me?

However I must plead ignorance on how excactly you get the draw out abilitiy(samurai) to function.... ... a "master through and through", huh? I'll help you, even if I probably shouldn't. First of all, to use any Draw Out ability for any particular katana, you need to have learned the corresponding command for that katana. Second, have at least one of that particulary katana in your inventory - not equipped to the samurai, in your inventory. Then, in battle, you should be able to access the Draw Out command and all of your Draw Out abilities that you have both learned and possess the appropriate katana for will be boldened and with the number of said katanas in your inventory next to it, ready to use. If you still have problems, then Hell if I know what to do.... -------------------- |

Plus they have to be within the respective skill's range to work, but that'll be shown quite plainly after all the above is accomplished.

laslow said pretty much everything, get the skill for the proper katana and ahve one in your inventory doring battle. 100% hit, non-charge and good range. Whoever, it has a 15% chance of braeking the katana.
As for considering yourself as a "master" maybe you should revise yourself. Being one means having aquired the knowledge about all the story (particullary the plot here), full knowledge of the battle system, and bosses' weaknesses. And if it's not enough, knowing everything about mini-games, sidequests, OST (maybe facultative ![]() Moderator Edit Yes, and as it clearly says in your sig, YOU'RE the true master. ![]() Moderator Edit OK, I take it back. If he insists his status as 'master' that strongly, have at him. Whatever. -R51 This post has been edited by Rangers51 on 13th September 2005 22:24 -------------------- Sayonara |

Thanks, the problem was that I had it equipped.
However, I would never dream of revising my self-proclaimed title, as it still holds true. I hardly think having one somewhat obscure piece of knowledge absent from my extensive FFT mental archives calls for a full fledged revision of my standing. If you were to consider the fact that I have been playing FFT for nearly 6 or 7 years, and played through it countless times, I would assume that I am more proficient than alot of you, though I would never claim to be above some of you in skill level(let us also not forget that more than one person can "master" a game). Plus, I only encountered the problem when I decided to master every class with my characters, and realized that I had never tried to actually use a samurai in batle, though the reason escapes me(I guess there just wasn't much use for them). Thanks for the help anyway, and try not to hold my ranting against me. It's just that if anyone is a tactics master, I am. |

So you believe you are a master of a certain video game and probably for a good reason. I can buy that. Just don't rant about something if people express doubts about a self-proclaimed title of master when you ask newb question. I don't mean to insult you or question your "master" status, but come on.... -------------------- |

I beg to differ. I think understanding how Draw Out works is a most basic thing to know.
