Yeah, it's been ages since I've done anything, I got a new computer so I had to do some rearranging around my room, plus I had to battle some inner demons. But, that's all taken care of now, I was bored the other day and since I recently got into drawing on my computer. So I just did this, something Kefka would probably do.

Not bad. I like the facial features. I'm thinking it would look quite nice with some light coloring. But you said you just started and I'm not sure of what software you have, if any. What did you use to draw this? Just a mouse?
Also, when you talk about fighting your inner demons you're supposed to be more dramatic about it. -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

Yeah a mouse with good ol' MSPaint, don't know of any Oekaki programs I could download but I've found one forum with a program on there with a variety of tools and such. I might color it, when I get the time. -------------------- |

That's great, I always like the Oekaki style. I think you did a good job with font selection, since it's still a bit scribbly like the lines you used, but I think if you wrote it out in the same style, it would also look just as good.
Nice job! -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? And hey, put the laptop down for a while In the night there is something wild I feel it, it's leaving me |

Though, if I may ask, what exactly is this Oekaki style |

Oekaki basically translates into "Scribble" or "Doodle", meaning it's a quick drawing.

Quote (Bum's Rush @ 12th September 2005 14:25) Oekaki basically translates into "Scribble" or "Doodle", meaning it's a quick drawing. Aye, but on some occasions these "quick drawing" some how wind to be greatly detailed drawings. Coincidence? Anyways even w/o colour its very nicely done and pretty anime-looking (maybe its just me.) The text on the left is nice, but it just doesn't seem like something Kefka would say. Once again, maybe its just my way of thinking. All in all, good job for a quick mouse drawing. Glad to have something from you again ![]() -------------------- I fear my heart and fear my soul Life goes on, it surely will, Without me and I wonder: Will I ever see light again? Life goes on... |

Y'know I always wondered that, but I think the answer is that it's considered Oekaki since it was done using an Oekaki Program , but that's straying away from the original meaning. Which is as I mentioned, meaning a quick doodle or scribble. I don't know, that's what I think. ANYWAY, I just added a small dash of coloring to it, nothing grand or big. And with all that make up he's gotta think he's dashing.
And just so you know, including the coloring, this probably took me somewhere under 10 minutes, give or take a few minutes. This post has been edited by Bum's Rush on 12th September 2005 22:25 Attached Image ![]() -------------------- |

It's not so bad.. But it needs work. First of all, not all lines are colored in correctly. There are too many whites. The face could be improved.. And the lines look WAY too big out of the picture. I know it's a sketch, but the lines are just TOO big.

I think its a small improvement over the sketch, though the oekaki does have its charm. I think a air brush covering would have worked better than the solid colors used. Thats what I was thinking of when I made my first post, but I didn't point that out and you might not have a photoshop or something with an air brush tool.
Still its nicely done. -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

Nope, no Air Brush tool at all, infact, no Photoshop either. Just MSPaint and that crappy little spray paint option, it doesn't work as well. But it's slowly improving.
