everyone noes the soldier office is used to hire clan members rite? well, i usually go for the ones with at least 70 Brave or Faith. But I swear this happened to me one time on chp.1. I already hired a male soldier, and fought around till i got enough for another. I went into the soldier office as usual, selected female fighter this time, and the first female that popped out had 84 Brave and 84 Faith. I was shocked, but hired her immediately. Needless to say, she was the best generic character in my team since she excelled at any job. Now, that is something.

On my first playthrough against Velius and the Archaic demons. My party was wiped out after several turns of action and I know I gave Velius quite a beating. I gave up all hope and was going to reset when my lone Lancer (critical) had a Dark Holy spell waiting for her as soon as she came down, and she completes her Jump and strikes Velius with the finishing blow! For that reason, I have commited myself to bringing in a Lancer (or at least a powerhouse with "Jump") whenever I enter that battle.

hmm...I don't really remember any specific 'lucky' moments...But I remember going into battle with one character (ramza) in a random battle...I was at my friends house and all she had were dance pads instead of controllers. So i couldn't use the top buttons to choose more characters Anyway this battle wasn't easy...I was severely outnumbered with a bunch of behemoths and dragons.

I think there were a few other humans classes but I don't remember what they were. There were around 12 enemies if I remember. I had to keep running around trying to keep myself alive and as far away as possible. Just when I was nearing death and the behemoth hit me with a hard blow (as they are pretty strong) my HP restore kicked in and replenished all my HP. That happened about 2 or 3 times in the battle, and I ended up winning It took longer because it was on a dance pad though.

I once had my best wizard get invited out of my party, and thankfully i had a mediator with me at the time. Not only did he get confusion, but he re invited my wizard back successfully while i wasn't controlling him lol.

Woah those are all close calls I remember one time my party almost all got all wiped out and I had forgoten one of my characters had autolife, right before raised back I had to revive my main character becuase he was going to bite the big one and after that I revied all my people just in time. But this is a common thing.

Mine is simillar to fabulous freebird.I lost all hope of winning this battle with velius.But,agrias was the only party member alive in my party at the time,so i had her go up to velius.She was at critical health,but i used lightning stab and it not only silenced him,it killed him too.I was like after i beat him finally.

wow, thats some luck. i remember when i was fighting a bull demon lvl 80 and he targeted my ramza. the thing was, ramza had blade grasp and a 99% chance of evasion. the bad part? he hit him, and it killed him with a critical hit. off topic yes, but a considerable mention. sheer bad luck darn it.

Another stroke of luck i had was in the deep dungeons the first time i ever played. I forget which one it was, but all ninjas appeared and i remembered reading something about having catch in dungeons in case you run into them. Well this time i happened to have catch on ramza and secret clothes on everyone else so all the ninjas were throwing at ramza while he ran away. I think i caught a few nice swords and katanas that run through.

i was fighting velius and ramza was about to be a chest as were all my other ppl
when my stupidly brought in lvl 1 squire came up with one hp i said eh what the hell?

he moved to velius and he was, blinded, got the most awesome CRITICAL HIT EVER!!!!!!!!!

it was awesome....needles to say...he died (velius) and i won VICTORY IS MINE!!!WITH A REGULAR SWORD!!! velius had like 100 hp left and my guy hit for 20 on average!!

Aujourdhui a commence avec toi.

Random encounter battle against a group of Ninjas and Archers at Level 90. My party was trashed, except for Cid, who wasn't doing too well HP wise himself. One more shot from a ninja would've taken him out easily. I had three more characters to finish off, they had sustained a bit of damage themselves. Anyways, Cid wasn't close enough to do anything to them, so I had to finish the turn by moving.

The Ninja managed to move up right beside me and attacked. By sheer miracle, Cid blocked both attacks, countered with Counter and killed the Ninja. The other NPCS lined up like the idiots they were, so my next turn, when my Ramza had reached 0 right before turning into a Crystal, I got Cid to use Holy Explosion and won the fight.

Maybe not AS lucky as some of the other stuff, but it was pretty lucky to me.

i was messin around with my lvl 99 game and entered grog hill and ran into 11 monks and i only placed in my Ramza cause he's basically unbeatable but i was seriously getting owned but i slowly killed em off i finished the battle with 24 HP im never entering that hill solo again lol

hmm luckiest moment.... would be when i was in the secret caves on floor 3(or 4) i was just going to end the battle by killing the monster becuz i couldnt find the secret item (maximillion or sumtin likr that) and i step in front of the monster and found maximillion with a guy with 54 faith O.o so i guess thats real lucky lol

The first time I fought the monk battle at Grog, I had my leader as a mediator, and only two generics (I didn't yet know about "rare battles"). My generics were a female thief and a time mage (with item).........needless to say mimic daravon, steal heart, and pheonix down were my best friend

my luckiest shot in FFT was the Yardow Fort City battle. I had a mediator and invited one of the three ninjas. It was 16% chance to invite him AND it was his go right after i invied him which allowed me to execute one of those pesky summoners YAY!

One of my lucky shots in FFT was during the battle at the end of Ch.1. I was feeling overconfident, so I had 2 summoners who apparently didn't know anything in that job catagory (bad idea), a Dancer, and Ramza as a Chemist. It was one of the many stupid choices I made, but i had forgotten that my summoners knew a Black Mage skill and the job the other one had before I made her a summoner was a lancer, so that helped out greatly. Expecially since Ramza was about to die in 3 more moves.

Actually, I had Hamedo execute everytime Ramza tried to get hit by a regular human attack, but that cause Ramza's brave was at 97. I love Hamedo, but this trick was more like a lucky discovery of the powers of Hamedo + 2 Hands + Chaos Sword + Excalibur.

Anyways, luckiest battle was the fight against Elmdor with blade grasp. All my physical hits actually went through, which was actually a bad thing cause I really wanted Masamune and I lost the opportunity there.

EDIT: No change that, I remembered how I was able to get Zodiac on the first try, with HP/MP Switch taking all the damage from Zodiac into the MP Points instead of HP.

This just happened to me as Im playing through agsin...

I went to Barius Hill to go to Lionel castle and eventually goug (I had already done this part and am in chaoter 4)

I came upon 4 lvl 50 knights, 3 red chocobos, 2 summoners, 2 wizards, and 4 explosives



I had my ramza go up and hit anyone he could reach (hes a ninja). My archer went forward and took out a chocbo. the wizards targeted him and so did the summoners...
he died because the knights surrounded him, the wizards killed all the knights and the summoners wasted all MP casting cyclops and bahamut. needless to say i pwned them from that point...it was awesome

Bad luck is still luck, right?

Once during the Velius battle, I had Agrias cast Holy on one of the demons and it missed. Just about fell out of my chair, I didn't think Holy could be blocked by anything. Never seen it happen before or since.

On the good luck side, in my current playthrough I had my spear-packing ninja Ramza jump on a Summoner at the very beginning of the Yardow Fort City battle. She started with a CT of 74, and Ramza still landed the blow before she could move. (Speed kills!) Made that battle 100% easier.

Elmdor with blade grasp was annoying for me.

My most unluckest moment was when you fight Celia and Lede. My entire party had gotten poisoned, Ramza and my black mage were hit with attract and Agrias and Mustadio and my monk were dead. Also, when i first fought Altima I got my butt handed to me with Grand Cross and Super Ultima. Plus, because i didn't kill the Ultima Demons they contributed to the slaughter.

In the Ramza vs. Weigraf fight i made him a black mage with flare and holy, and nailed Weigraf thice and killed him. Oh and beating queklain with one character left with like 45 HP left.

Another one of my finest moments:

I hit Elmdor with a 0% chance and I was all like "What the HELL?"

Yeah, I don't think that was supposed to happen, just a glitch or something. But it was freaking awesome cause I killed him and all that good stuff.
