Warning may cause EXTREME nostalgia.
Also TONS of gore. (P.S. you might have to lie to the site about your birthday to be able to watch it depending on your age) http://features.teamxbox.com/xbox/1271/Mor...ening-Movie/p1/ |

This Month Playstation Underground Magazine released a demo disk of this game and I have to say it's extremly addicting and I'm defintely going to get it and force one of my friends to sit down and beat it with me. The one dissapointing part about the demo was everyone time you executed a fatality the demo disk Censored it.

This game simply just looks beautiful...
Minus the funny head-shapes of some characters. Otherwise, I've gotta get my hands on this. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

Dang It!
I have to say I'm dissopointed. The graffics are great. The movement great. The characters look ridicolus way too buff and clumsy looking. I mean the old MK game characters atleast looked believeble But this!. They could have done a lot better. -------------------- "You know that feeling you get when you're on a merry go 'round, and you want to jump off to make the spinning stop, but you know it'll suck when you land? I'm not much of a Mortal Kombat fan, but I watched the movie anyway out of interest. I thought it was pretty good. The graphics are about as ridciulous as any Mortal Kombat game calls for, and the terrible voice acting/sounds stick to the good old MK formula. Not to mention the video was chock full of old memories, especially when Sub-Zero executes his spine pull fatality, that was pure nostalgia. Not a signature Ice fatality, but awesome nonetheless.
However, concerning the actual game, I have to say there's really not a whole lot there to make me want to wait in line (as if there would be one) for this installment of the MK series. I wasn't impressed enough with Deception or Deadly Alliance to buy them either. Maybe I'm just not convinced enough by this whole "third dimension" thing to be sold, whether it's MK or another fighting game series that has roots in the 2D era (i.e. King of Fighters: Maximum Impact, Street Fighter EX). Once again, I've never been a huge fan, but MK2 is pretty much the first and last MK game I'm ever likely to play and enjoy. As a final word, I just want to remind everybody that a non-fighting MK game has already been tried...and it was called Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero...and it sucked. -------------------- I find your lack of faith disturbing... |

The characters were never EVER were made out to be realistic or believable. I think that all the characters in every Mortal Kombat seemed over the top. I guess I didn't notice what you were you were talking about. I mean Johnny Cage has always had bulging muscles. |

I want Shaolin Monks. I seen the demo on X-Play and it looks nice. I just hope that Shaolin Monks don't suffer the same fate as the other two Mortal Kombat action/adventure games (Mortal Kombat: Mythoigies and Speical Forces), they didn't got great reviews. The game looks good.

As for the real game in question, the MK team might have had better luck with me if the next MK installment was an RPG ( ![]() ![]() -------------------- |
