i played and beat the snes ff3 many times, so i know what to expect, but i've been trying to get to the end of the game on the ps version now, with no luck.

i kill the final version of kefka and it goes back to where i have celes, edgar, and setzer standing (i chose to go through the world of ruin without picking up any optional characters) and terra flies up and says she will lead them to safety after the magicite begins to disintegrate. they all walk off screen and... that is that. it goes black and never comes back.

anyone else have this problem? i've tried it a few times, to make sure it wasn't a single glitch, but still nothing proceeds from here.

I don't think it is a glitch.. My FFVI CD is full of scratches and the ending still shows up.. I think it's because you need to clean your disk.. Go buy a disc cleaner and buff it on the FF Anthology FFVI CD.. If it still remains in its condition afterwards, then it's probably because the cd has a permanent scratch and can't be recovered ( I remember FFVII )

would that seriously cause this to be the one and only 'glitch' in my game? i've played it pretty much beginning to end these past several weeks with no errors before.

it also doesn't reset appropriately if kefka kills me in the final battle, i noticed.

i can try borrowing a friend's copy too. i'll see if that works.
