Please, give your prayers out to my friend over in England (she asked to remain annonymus). Her little sister died at 7am their time. She had a chest infection that turned into pneumonia, and... that's what killed her. Please, take the time to pray for both of them.

Sad, sad news. There may not be anything as hard to deal with as the untimely death of a cherished family member. I offer my condolences and my hope that you will be able to help your friend to pass through this period of mourning and to begin celebrating the life that her sister did have.

i feel for her. a friend of mine was killed about 2 years ago. i know how she feels. he wasn't blood related, but he was my brother.

Thanks for everything, you guys. My friend is doing much better, but still. She'll recover, but the old wounds will probably never heal.

That's sad news, indeed. It's never easy to grip with such a loss, understandably, and I'm sure you'll help out your friend in every way you can till she gets through this period of grief. My sympathies go out to you, your friend and her family.

Well, it's the li'l things like just talking to her, being supportive and being a good listener that can often mean the world to someone going through sorrowful times like this - even if you live on another continent.
 If you wanna do a little more, have you considered perhaps sending her and her family a condolence-themed card? -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will.
