I just finished FFX a few weeks ago and found out that they are actually coming out with a sequal for it. I am very excited about what about the rest of you?

I can think of a good many other Final Fantasies which deserve a sequel over FFX. That aside, I'm also deathly afraid that they'll ruin its fantastic ending with a crassly commercial second showing. (Disagree with the "commercial" part? Just look at Rikku's outfit, and try to disagree.)
Still, as long as they do it well, I'll enjoy it. I just hope it's an actual attempt at an enjoyable game instead of a publicity stunt and/or fundraiser. -------------------- "I always have a quotation for everything - it saves original thinking." ~Dorothy L. /me looks at Rikku's outfit.
/me continues looking. Seriously, I don't care about this game. Seems to me that it's just another step in Squaresoft's ultimate alienation of its first fans. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

I don't care. I mean, if my memory serves, FFX-2 is a basic ripoff of Lara Croft (not that i care for that series) And of aaaaaaaaaallllllllllllll the ff games to create a sequel they choose 10 (Ironicly the only ff game I haven't played/beaten, for cripes sake...)

I really don't have any opinion, because well, FFX didn't need a sequal. This happened, this happened, this happened, it all tied together. Sure there's people that ask "WELL WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT?!", but that's why there's fan fiction. They should be working on FFXII or FFXIII

I'm actually a bigger fan of a couple of Square's other series, Seiken Densetsu and the Chrono games. Â I would be perfectly happy if they made more games under those names than the Final Fantasy name so I really don't care about FFX-2. Â I got really tired of the characters by the end of FFX, so I don't want to play through an entirely new game with some of the old, plus the new ones that just look like sappier rehashes of the old (i.e. the blonde, effeminate Auron and the female Squall).

Sometimes I wonder whether or not Square can handle continuity with their games. I was disappointed with Chrono Cross not because it was a bad game, because it was certainly entertaining, and not because it had a bad story, because it kept me guessing until the very end. It just didn't fit with the Chrono universe, and ruined a lot of the mystery and fun of the first installment. Instead, it opted to take itself too seriously and develop a convoluted sci-fi storyline, a route I can't agree with.
Honestly, I hope this doesn't happen to Final Fantasy X. Ruining the futures of characters in the game would really leave a bad taste in my mouth about the series in general. -------------------- "I always have a quotation for everything - it saves original thinking." ~Dorothy L. OMG, Neal... ![]() At any rate, I am not looking forward to FFX-2. This absolutely looks like the perfect excuse to dress the well-esteemed girls of FFX with binkins, tank-tops, the like. I'm looking foreward to it only because I want to try and see how Square is gonna dig theirselves out of this one.

I loved FFX. And when I first heard about FFX-2, I was very excited.
Learning about the Job System though, kinda ruined the game for me. I still am looking forward to it, but not as much. -------------------- "And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped” -Sir Bedevere the Wise |
