I could live happily ever after if FF6 came out for Gameboy advanced.

or maybe:

Portable, Endless fun.  What could be better?

Is this just a fantasy or is this in development?  Because I agree that it would be a wonderful thing...even though I don't have a GBA.  If the capabilities are good enough I could see a wonderswan port sometime in the future.  What I would really like would be portable SoM.

Just a dream.  Nintendo seems to be reworking a lot of SNES games for GBA, and Breath of fire 1 and 2 I believe are out for it.  So maybe in the future...a small ray of hope in the distance.

That's really the only reason I wanted a GBA, because I was hoping they would do that.

I don't know of any other final Fantasy games aside from FFTactics to be released on the GBA, but I think that they should.  It would SIGNIFICANTLY boost the sales of the GBA, considering how Nintendo is complaining about not getting enough sales for that system (and is it just me or does that system have practically the best games out?), but I don't think that Nintendo will do it.

And if they did, it would be unlikely that they'd port it to the US or anywhere else for that matter.  They've done this with great selling games like Fire Emblem, Zoids  (well, maybe it's not a "Great-Selling" game, but yeah), and several others.

In all hope though, I hope they do ^_^

I happen to agree about the GBA. As soon as I found out that it was basically a portable SNES I was waiting around the proverbial water cooler to see if they were releasing FFVI on the system. I can think of no better way to spend American History then playing as my favourite green-haired mutant. They better release it if they haven't already.

Wow! I'd like that! (duh! I'd like most of FF to come out on
gba!) then I'd have more reasons than just Golden Sun and FFT to buy it.

If ff6 and ff4 were to come out on GBA I would have to buy one just so I could unplug my SNES for good and plug in PS2 because I only keep SNES because I have FF4 and FF6.

Well, they should also import MOST of the games to the GBA...if Nintendo is in "such trouble from the cell phones" they would SIGNIFICANTLY boost the sales, hence get more money.

Still, I can't wait for when they decide to import the games

they do have a new ff coming out in the spring for gba-- crystal chronicles, i think.  Hopefully, as its on a smaller engine again, Square will revert to the 1-6 style instead of the new crap they call final fantasys.

Crystal Chronicle is for GameCube, not GBA. It does have a GBA link feature, but it's mainly for GameCube. The only FF game announced for GBA is FFT Advance.

EDIT: Forgot to note: I would like FFVI on GBA. As well as FFIV, FFV, CT, and a lot of other games...

I'd like to see it on GBA too.  But I'd REALLY like to see an Anthologies thing kinda like the one on PSX done for GameCube (escept without all the loading times...).

I am actually against the idea. I cringe at the thought of how badly thew would mess with these games. I haven't played the PSX versions of V or VI, but what they did to IV was horrible. All that did was give FFIV a fourth version that is just a bad HT. They changed all of the main characters' names in V. I don't know what happened to VI, and I don't want to know that nor what would happen if they remade it a second time.

I would love to try out a FF6 for GBA.
I think it should be nice to see some of the old SNES games being remade. (I wonder if they'll do the same for FF5, because it looks like a fun FF game)

That would be so cool if ff6 was on gba or gba-sp, because ff6 was one of my favorite final fantasy games ever.  i hope they do release it in the future!!!

I have a game that would be even cooler on GBA.  Yes I did like FF3 better but... imagine a remake of Chrono Trigger on GBA.  Instead of owning in a illegal rom I could finally play it for real.  My friend has a copy of it but the won't let me touch it.  He has it in like an atmosphere controlled room.

DKC for GBA has proven they're able to make 32Mbit SNES ports, so hopefully it's just a matter of time before VI and CT show up...

The technical aspect was never in question, it's always been a matter of the publisher giving permission and then coding the translation to the new system. Plus, FF6 and CT were both 24Mbit games, IIRC. ^_^

It would be a great thing but squaresoft already made a Final Fantasy VI formatted for the Playstation and I don't think they would waste even more money making one for the GBA.

Dude, I would KILL for a FF or Chrono Trigger on GBA.  No, seriously.  You'd better get out of my way.

I love being able to play old classics on the run.  Maybe they could also add pretty picture screens like Capcom has for Breath of Fire I & II.  ^_^  That would so totally rule.

Oh it would be so great if FFVI came to gba!
CT and other RPG's should also come to GBA!
it would really make the car trip, bus trip, any other trips more exciting really!
i'm sick and tired of al those "great" GBA games out there... there almost ain't any good games to GBA!
And FFVI, CT would boost up the sale so wild that they could live on the money!
i wish it come soooon!!! sleep.gif

I have an idea lets start a group so we can nag ffvi out of squenix. Maybe if they realize how in demand the game is and that its just a big dormant cash cow they will give the people what they want. Because pesonally i think FFVI would school FFXI And FFXII together. And you should write the battery comapanies to because all of the non sp players would spend mucho grande dollars on batteries and maybe they will be able to encourage squenix a little bit.

P.S.

I agree with Otacon2112. A group of people nagging squenix for FF6 on GBA might convince them, but then I would have to buy a GBA laugh.gif

Well they are already making a port of ff1 and ff2 to gba.. so in time.. we might see ff3 then maybe the others.. chrono trigger should be ported. and Rangers51 chrono trigger is a 32- bit game.

for every mega byte = 8 bits
1 meg = 8 bit
2 meg = 16 bit
3 meg = 24 bit ff6
4 meg = 32 bit chrono trigger
5 meg = 40 bit
6 meg = 48 bit SD3 and ToP
