Please help me, I don't know what to do to get Great Gospel. I did everything that is required, (I fought 288 battles), and then the man in the cave give me something ( which must be mithril...but isn't in my item or key item list...) , and the man near Gold Saucer doesn't want to accept it, he just keep talking about Key Stone and other things....have I missed some step?. ( I searched this site , by the way...and did everything step by step,.). I went again with the man in the cave and fought 322 battles, so I got the item . Any ideas?

There's a point in the game when the item becomes unavailable. I think you need to get Great Gospel before you're looking for the keystone.

I can't do anything then...I already got the keystone again ( From Tseng) and then exit the Temple of Ancients ( hope its called like this, I got a japanese version)...dammit. Anyway, I've heard you can get it in CD 2 , but what is the point of unavaibility, then-....maybe next time. , and thanks Karasuman.

The mytril is always listed in the key items, if it's not here, then the old man gave you something else... I can't recall what it is but I haad to get the same last digits with the battles twice because he gave me an useless item.

fight more, and get the Mythril, that's the spirit.

I never heard that there was a point in the game that Great Gospel coun't be obtained except beofre the first time you enter the rocket town...

But getting it in disc 2 or 3 is just good to fill up a blank in your inventory.

I believe you can only get it, before the goldsaucer part, because all the weapons seller seems to talk about, is the keystone. I know this is irrelivant, but

is it really worth going through all the trouble? I mean... she dies anyways, just skip it and slay the temple of the ancients with just 2 members

Well, I know Aeris is going to...well you know. But I want to see it. I was an stupid, forgive me, the man in the cave didn't give me mithril, he gave me some Poison amulet or Star pendant... , well if you got the game in japanese you'll be in a similar predicament. I got Mythril, but I had to do 399 battles... (I don't what especially triggered this, because I do 288,377, 388 and 399 battles...) quite boring. But I got the Mythril.

I had 400 odd battles before I got it, had 411 and got a bolt ring, then at 422 got the mythril.

I'm not sure that there is a point in the gam ewhere it becaomes unavailable because I seem to remember getting it on the second disc once, even though there isn't really an point.

i tried to get it with 399 battles and he said..."you've already run 22 times" then he flips over so i said screw it she.........yea
