telepo problems!!!

hi everyone

I play FFV since near 20 hours on my Ps2 (final fantasy anthology) and something has happen to me.

I got the telepo spell in val castle and used it in the town up ahead during the quest of dragon grass.
but this telepo bring all my team in MOOGLE FOREST!!!!!
I try to return to the west continent but nothing.
Now, if if I try to use the spell in a town I simply exit the town and if I use it in the square forest where a mog has fallen in a hole, I teleport myself again in the damn moogle forest

Can somebody help me to return on the west continent because by now I don't know anyone else that has this problem

Hi, and welcome to CON!

That's weird.. Never happened to me.
The telepo (Warp spell) was supposed to take you back to the World Map..

If you want to return, make sure you walk in the forest. Do NOT touch the desert or you will get into hard-ass fights if your characters are below LV 35.. Follow the forest paths all the way to the west and you'll be back.

Have you completed the moogle forest quest? I'm not as familiar with V as I am with IV and VI, but I believe you're stuck there until you do.

If that's not the case, then I don't know. Maybe some FFV fanatic like Djibriel can help. wink.gif

By the way, he said he DIDN'T complete the Moogle Forest just yet.

He said he was at the part where you have to get the dragon grass at the Valley of Dragons tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

The Moogle Forest is one of the first quests in Galuf's World. You do that, then go to Bal Castle, THEN get the Dragon Grass because Hiryuu is sick. Therefore, if he's getting the Dragon Grass, he completed the Moogle Forest quest.

...which leaves him in quite a predicament since I have no clue how to get back from the forest. blink.gif

Woo, that's a weird glitch. This is why saving is good. smile.gif

All I can think of is possibly a game genie code or something where you could walk over the ocean. I hate cheating, myself, but it seems that it's the only way you can get back to Bal Castle and get the Hiryuusou.

I decided to try out the Telepo spell on the second world and the third world to see if you were right.. And it looks like you were.

Telepo can also send you to other places.. For example, if you go to Bal Castle, and then go to Kelb and use Telepo, you'll be returned to Bal Castle..

On the third world, I used the telepo spell on kelb again, and guess what? I was sent to Zeza's castle! It must've been because of the X and Y axis in the third world which would be Moogle forest.. Fun glitch, Square.. smile.gif

It's a variation on another glitch. Coding an option like using Telepo/Exit outside of battle is damn dangerous, and this is exactly why.

To answer your question: you're screwed. The only way you could possible get going again was by means of clearing some mystery bits nobody knows about....I'm afraid you'll have to start all over again.

The other instance where out-battle Telepo can end your quest is using it just after (World Three spoilers):

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Guido and ExDeath battle in Guido's Cave in the third world. After the battle, you'll be in the Ancient Library; using Exit/Telepo will take you back in front of Guido's cave, airshipless and unable to continue.


Brainless bug, honestly, as this is the kind of thing you can count on to have errors.
