I did not make this, but I found it highly amusing.
Since it's fan-done, I post it here.

That's pretty good work considering it was a back attack. That's be over 4k damage if Kefka got 'em from the front. tongue.gif

I doubt that is possible with an animated gif.
It's already a huuuuge gif as it is too. XD
I think for what it is, simple is best.

I think it's a cute idea, really.

Just pointing this out.

I doubt that is possible with an animated gif.

Who said anything about sticking to gif format? Why not use flash? tongue.gif Gifs don't support music (it's an image format after all) so the only alternative would be a page with embedded music. Midi music.

Interesting, though. Some people really do have too much free time. wink.gif

dude, i only go on here like, once a day, for 15 minutes.
other than that, i might be at a swim practice for an hour, at a 3 hour swim meet, at a 45 minute piano lesson, praticing piano for 30 minutes to an hour, at a 2 hour tennis lesson, or reading.

i never run around in shirts that expose my nipples attacking people dressed as kefka, even though it is very funny.

They look too unenthusiastic and the setting could've been shot somewhere else (I see concrete and lamps), but good nonetheless

Nuuuhh, the person playing Sabin is embarrassing his family AND himself... He needs to shave, and his nipples are obvious. X_X Not a pretty guy.

Um....how? Are people not allowed to dress up for fun anymore? Pending the lipstick (::shakes fist at Amano:smile.gif, I think his outfit looks awesome.

On another note, some people were complaining about the lack of enthusiasm, which I think only makes it even more hysterically weird. XD

But I do give props for Kefka's clothes and his stance, very Kefka-esque, and Terra's outfit as well, those look pretty well put together.

Kefka's the best-dressed of the lot, and props to those ummm... brave cosplayers for using the Amano costumes. Shame it isn't more elaborate, but still funny.

Cosplay isn't a matter of 'not having anything better to do'.
I like cosplay, and I like doing cosplay because it's fun.
It's kind of nice to pretend to be someone else for a while.
A lot of people put a lot of hard work and love into their costumes.
It's kind of mean to say they have nothing better to do.
I mean, the hard work pays off!
The costumes are awesome in that gif (save maybe sabin. his hair is scary) and probably took a really long time to make..
Plus there are contests at conventions that people go to where they win things for their costumes.
It's like saying someone who draws has nothing better to do.

So very true Hikaroo, if I was skinnier and had alot of access to costumes and stuff of that nature I'd gladly dress up as Kefka, but anyway I would've loved it if they did that little victory spin, but that's just me.

No, what I meant was that the original (Yoshitaka Amano's) Locke looks like a transexual.. No offense to anyone here.

I thought that it was very clever and tres hilarious. The nonchalance of the people involved make the gif that much better. In the real FFVI everyone looked pretty blank during battle...The end of battle celebration is dead on and priceless. biggrin.gif

Oh, ok. I wasn't fond of Amano's art myself for a long, long time, but I eventually grew kind of fond of it. Still, totally not how I imagine any of the characters in my head. I guess it's a good thing I'm an artist; I'm free to change the characters to my liking. >_>

And yeah, SmacktheDog, people make the costumes. It takes a lot of time and effort, however. A group of my friends and myself will hopefully be doing a cosplay for an April convention, if all goes well, and we've already begun preperation on the outfits.

But I can't believe you've never seen an FF cosplay before. It's insanely popular, the Amano ones especially (it's a complete fad right now).

I think he meant in general? Cosplay can be pretty scary. Men dressing up like women, women who don't have the body for it dressing in disgustingly scanty outfits, forty year olds dressing up like ten year olds (run, Sakura, run!) and so on.

um, okay i have to clear something up here, because several people have taken onto the idea that i am a nerd who doesn't know it.

dictionary entry for nerd: a person who is extremely interested and knowledgeable about computers, electronics, technology, and gadgets. (dictionary.com)

just because i play video games does not mean that i am "extremely interested and knowledgeable about computers." im on a forum, so what? its just something i do very little, as you should have read in some of my other posts before labeling me. i actually joined very recently. being on this forum is about the nerdiest thing i've done.

nerds are often anti-social. this is not at all true for me. i am close friends with most people in my grade.

everyone plays video games, and everyone is active on the internet.

i am very active, i was just at the county divisionals for swimming this morning, where i placed 1st for breaststroke, and 2nd in the relay i participated in. i just got back from a 2 hour tennis lesson before i got on the net.

these people are very funny. i do not hate nerds or cosplayers, but that does not change the fact that i am not a nerd.

Lol, I love this gif. It's a good idea...I also don't know why people get defensive when people say 'they have no lives' and start listing all this other random crap that they do. You can see they are specifically trying not to say anything that involves computers. Sometimes I hate when people add "oh and I have a boyfriend/girlfriend" it's so dumb...Who cares if you like to play on the computer or whatever. Computers are becoming more accepted into society today and there are more people who spend lots of time on them these days. Listing other activites you do isn't exactly the best arguement...but I think you guys should be more on topic (the ones arguing). huh.gif
