If my memory serves me correctly, you go to South Figaro, and from there you should be able to get back to Nikeah by boat. Head north (preferably on a chocobo?), and you'll reach Gau's father's hut where Sabin's scenario started. Then, you follow the path that Sabin took, through the base, the Phantom Forest, etc., until you wind up back on the Veldt. I hope this helps. -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

What I want to know is how on earth did you land in Narshe after hitting the Serpent Trench?
But yeah, Karasuman's right. after taking the Serpent Trench, go north/northeast of Nikeah and then follow Sabin's path past Doma, through the forest, and then down the waterfall. -------------------- |

You need to go through the mountains (the right entrance) to the Returner Hideout, where you'd find the entrance to the Lete River. This will take you to the place Sabin's scenario started, from where you can reach the Veldt as you did with Sabin.

you did it differently to the way i did it, i started off at the returners hideout, either way, whatever place you start off, you should be able to get back to your airship otherwise it wouldent be fair.

I think the problem is that he took the ship from nikeah to south figaro, which doesn't take you back to the beginning of sabin's route. Your only option now is heading back to Nikeah through Mt Koltz-> Lete River

Do you all enjoy doing it the long way?
After recieving the airship, a bridge magically appears near Nikeah, allowing you to simply cross it, cutting out the Lete River and Mt. Kolts all together. Simply follow the narrow path out of that area, and go through the phantom forest, the baron falls, through the veldt, the serpent trench, back to Nikeah, leap on the airship, leave. How or why the bridge magically appears is beyond me, and why no news of this bridge is told to you is also a bit of a mystery, but it is there, I've done it several times before. -------------------- "A little tight, but the price was right" - Locke "Oh, what a Fuddy Duddy" - Relm "..." - Shadow "I'm a General, not some love starved twit" - Celes "Although Edgar showers his attention on the ladies, most are smart enough to pay him no attention. In Baron's room, most northern-right room in the place, its in the southern part of his room, walk down, jump into raft, you know the rest.

When you first go to Nikeah (with Sabin, Cyan, and Gau) an NPC says that the path to the north has been blocked by a landslide and is inaccessible, so the only place you can go is South Figaro (they had to throw in this landslide business to make it plausible for you to have to go through the whole Phantom Forest and everything else hassle in the first place). So once you get the airship, story wise it would be they finally cleared the rockslide, gameplay wise it's because there's not longer a reason to hassle you.

Ah! I thought it was a bridge for some reason O.o. All I know is that the small area around the mountains becomes accessible allowing you to more easily go from Nikeah to, say, Doma. It's kind of pathetic though, don't you think? Sabin can't make his way past a land slide, although he can run as fast as a train, lift a train off the ground, destroy magitek armor with his bare hands, shoot hadokens from his hands, and leap across train carts, etc., and he can't get over a little landslide, that was clearable by a bunch of weaklings from Nikeah no doubt?
I always wondered, though, why Shadow never mentioned the Landslide (although I prob just don't remember it), and how Cyan already knows about the Landslide... and how there's an alternative to getting to Nikeah by being beaten that crap out of by a trench... while wearing a deep sea diving helmet ... that wasn't magically enchanted or anything... just your average helmet for deep sea diving... good lord, plotholes galore! o.O (Building a bridge would've solved everything, because we know our characters can't cross a lake too well. Anyone with me?) -------------------- "A little tight, but the price was right" - Locke "Oh, what a Fuddy Duddy" - Relm "..." - Shadow "I'm a General, not some love starved twit" - Celes "Although Edgar showers his attention on the ladies, most are smart enough to pay him no attention. This happened to me too. Go to Returner's Hide Out. Go to the Lete River, Serpent Trench, Phantom Forest, Nikeah, Mount Kolts, Figaro Cave in that cycle. Not sure if I have the right order though.
