You'ill never believe this..

I managed to cast berserk on Magimaster so he keeps attacking me.

And keeps attacking and attacking..

And he doesn't use magic or whatever!

What a great discovery!

And to make sure you win I would summon golem and cast life 3 on yourself.

Oh, btw he still uses ultima at the end.

I believe thats fairly well known around here, but atleast the noobies know a little more after reading this....

Well on a similar note, you can prevent him from casting Ultima, but in order to do that you need to rasp him like mad

Yah, i dont post much if you havent noticed. I'm not used to large fourms so i usally lurk and post every now and then..

Oooh wel I just thought I'd say it to defeat him easily and I saw nothing saying that he was resist vs berserk damn I feel like a idiot now.

Don't feel bad , I also knew that Magimaster is vulnerable to Berserk spell, but I liked your style of casting Golem ( Instead of Vanish) , making him berserk, prevents him for doing its annoying "Wall Change", but also attack you physically. He cast Ultima at the end, but you can survive it if you have Life3, or have more than 7500 HP _( if not a little bit less), you can Rasp him too..but I don't reccomend it, ( except if you got a very high level), you have to deal around 1000 MP damage per Rasp;if you want do it that way, if not don't bother ( though it can be do it anyway)

No don't bother using rasp or osmose it takes way to long.

Rasp/Osmose have the added advantage of leaving him unable to counter with Ultima.

The easiest way to beat him, I've found, is to berserk him then use Phantom. Then, just rasp away; you're in no hurry.

That trick works the other way around, too. You can berserk your own party to attack physically. Atma weapon + Illumina + Offering + Genji Glove -> 1-turn kill. That should leave you with enough HP to survive Ultima at the end of the fight. Or better yet, unequip someone's reflect ring (you DO have reflect rings, right?) and cast Life 3 on them before turning one of your party members into an infernal berserked killing machine. Of doom.

You mean wall rings, well at that point at the game (I followed the walkthrough) your not that tough as having the offering relic and the almighty Illumina sword so I had to use my method to get outta there quickly cause I wanna beat the game fast I'have played like 40 hrs already.

The first time I tried that trick, I made the mistake of casting Berserk on my OWN party members too. When I berserked him, his WallChange was set on absorbing Holy. I had Mog and Edgar in my party, each equipped with a Pearl Lance. Obviously, that was a problem, and to make it even worse, Mog and Edgar were 2 levels about everyone else. And with the extra Pearl thats sometimes cast, I knew this was a problem. The only person I haden't Berserked was wearing a Cursed Shield, so then she (Terra) died. Yeah, I lost that battle. (Wow, that was long)

Yea, if you 'Zerk him and you get an undesired effect, i believe you can cast Dispel on him to re-activate his Uber-Annoying Wall Change, and once again, get another shot to hitting a better weakness.

Haha I actually did this, and did Vanish on all my guys, it does work...

Also If you guys have played Final Fantasy V, Shinryu (one of the Void Weapons like Omega) could also be Beserked, making the battle a bit easier cept the fact that he does about 7000 damage per hit , but all helps with Ninja's image trick.

Also, you could just use Life3 and that just makes it a whole lot easier with the Ultima attack.

Nah, I don't get angry easily.

Ahh, but this is old news. I thought it up on my first playthrough, long ago. I still do it to this day.

But berserking your own party members, it's a good idea, especially with Offering and Atma Weapon. I just never bothered. Maybe I thought it was better to play through the tower the way you were supposed to: Magic ONLY.
