The Midgar Zolom you first encounter in the marshes across the chocobo stable has the enemy skill Beta that could rougly do 1000-2000 dmg and I made up a guide how to get the Beta enemy skill.

First of all you need the materia enemy skill that can be obtained in the Shinra building which I forgot where so you can look that up on the site.

Then secondly, you have to obtain a fire ring (accesory) thats obtainable at Costa Del Sol in the basement of the hotel thats for sale.

After you done that you will have to do the Corel Prison part so you can get a buggy that allows you to cross the sea from Costa Del Sol to Junon.

Lastly, equip this accesory (fire ring) on the character thats wearing the enemy skill materia and engage battle with the beast (make sure you cure him) and keep him alive still the Zolom uses Beta now all you have to do is finish him off and you got yourself a spell that does 1000+ dmg and costs low mp and sets you to kill any boss till you get around Nibelheim.

Note: you have to kill the Zolom to obtain the enemy skill.

That's... quite nice for you. smile.gif

I won't ruin R51's fun, I'll let him post the link to the appropriate page/section. But you should at least put up a link to this guide of yours, otherwise your thread is pretty much... pointless. wink.gif

Edit: Yeah. I guess that addendum works, too... tongue.gif

Although I think I did a better job making a guide then the one I found.

Here it is.

Look at the section Beta materia.

I hate that midgar zolom so much... especially since im too lazy to earn a chocobo therefore, take my chances running across (which you can do very easily by the way) and dieing. I think this guide is very well for the first time player (no critisism intended). My way of killing that snake is just leveling outside of junon til about 30, earning my chars limit breaks.

P.S. I take great pleasure 1-hitting the snake at level 99 laugh.gif

Here here! That evil snake needs to go down. Every game I try to one-hit-overkill that horrible snake in a new and different way. I've already KOTR'd him to oblivion, Omnislashed him to death, and 5 or 6 stacked counter attack materias. That snake needs to DIE!

Have you tried cheesing him with a fully leveled Yuffie with her best weapon? (In case nobody has noticed, I happen to be fond of Yufiie,[[but not in that creepy fanboy way]] I mean everyone hates her for some reason...) Or have you tried using exit to make it dissappear as it seems to enjoy doing to me... Or also learn Beta, and use it right back on the norse nightmare snake eh. Tried manipulating it??
