I hated ramza i thought he shouldnt have been the main character but delita should have been. Ramza whined too much.

Everything!!! j/k

The only things I hated about FFT was at the battle with Gafgarion the last time (Why couldn't everybody else follow Ramza to the switch?), and the battle with Altima, too EASY

some of those ideas would have happened, nothing with malak would have done me any good becuase i never used him ever. rafa i used, but only becuase she already has a very low brave for item finding, and that's all i ever used her for.

yea, I often use Rafa too for two things... low brave for trasure hunting and high faith for powerful magic. she's really usefull with those magic guns. give her one of those and let her shoot the enemies with great damage. train her right and she'll be just as powerful as Orlandu and the rest of the crew.

Archer.... CHARGE?.  need i say more.  It seems to me that they made this game like this.

Lets design some characters.  Monk... very nice.  Wizard, very nice.  Samurai, very nice.

What should we give archers and lancers.... hmm.  I know! lets make one jump (with no AT time given) and one... uh.... charge! ya that's its charge!  Archers were the most useless class in my opinion.  The only thing worth being an archer for was concentrate... other than that forget them and move on.

I always found both to be pretty useful. Lancers (AKA Dragoons) and their Jump attack aren't too hard to time -- they charge twice as fast as a turn, so unless your enemy is much faster/slower an AT of 50 is a good cutoff point.

As for Charge -- it combines nicely with Two Swords and Martial Arts (mmm...double-fisted charging Monk...), or with guns.

How is charge useful when you have a monk doing 999 already... twice!? Now instead of instantly doing 2k damage, you have to wait a while for that "boost of power". As for jumping, the only thing i found useful about that is your guy is out of danger until he lands, but i'd rather just poke my enemy from 2 squares away and call it good.

well as odd as this sounds.. I use archers sometimes- simply becuase I like the idea of them. And I like the avatars - and besides, it's not like the games is so hard that if you have relatively less useful unti that you are going to get annihilated or something.

I usually have this from my base five characters:

Ramza: squire
male fighter: Knight/Lancer
male archer: Archer/Knight (here is where archers can become useful, if they have concentrate they can use break skill fro ma great distance, I know guns can do it too - but hey)
male ninja or samurai: ninja/samurai or samurai/lancer
male wizard: wizard/priest

it's a pretty good party I think, and I enjoy playing them to boot.

Why? He's cool.. And don't forget that it's "Final Fantasy," not "Breath of Fire 3" or "Dragon Quest."

and how about the poach shop.
the one thing I would like to change about it is making a poach slot for the memory card. it can alow the player to buy any stuff that was sold/poached in the shop. like Chapter 4 items can be used earlyer. that would be great to have.

My friend said he didn't like the characterization to a certain extent, saying characters like Mustadio and Agrias don't get much spotlight or backstory given besides the Brave Story synopsis. I kind of agree with him, but I also said the Brave Story helped me learn about them without them actually performing anything in-game, so I didn't mind as much.

What do you all think?

Yeah! That's true. It would be very cool if you got to hear different things based on which special characters you have with you. CT, FF6...pretty much all the square games where you could choose your party had this sort of thing and it was a great incentive to use different party members.

It would have added a certain amount of polish to the game IMO.
