My favorite is Wiegraf, simply because it suprised me to see what he had become in the second encounter. (although the one-on-one battle with ramza gave me a good run for my money the first time through)

Hmmm, I'll have to go with Algus. He is the best bad guy for one reason. Everybody who plays the game hates him!
He is a pig headed, shoddy excuse for a noble who compensates for his inferiority complex by slaughtering poor people. He wants to kill Miluda when Ramza lets her go, he kills Teta, and there's a great scene early in the game where he is kicking the hell out of a Death Corps Soldier for infomation! Its just a shame that he cannot put up a better fight when the time comes, something i take great pleasure in everytime I play! |

Miluda, because she wasn't really a bad person... just doing what she thought was right. One that I would want in my party? Gafgarion. I like wiegraf the best.me and him are almost the same.We get double crossed all the time and we are power hungry,and we basically beat the lungs out of anyone who trys to piss us off.

All of the badguys in FFT are well done. Ultimately though, only when people become demons are they "bad guys". Most characters are at least partially three dimensional and we understand their motives, even if we don't agree with them. It's that touch of humanism that seperates Final Fantasy from most cookie-cutter RPG's. That and badasses like Sephiroth and Delita. Either way, Final Fantasy badguys rule.
