It's July and that means one important thing. It's almost time for NFL action to start back up again. And that means it's time for some hot hot hot fantasy football action.
For those not in the know and are wondering what Fantasy Football is, I'll quote Tidu-who from our original Fantasy Football thread from a few years ago. Quote What you do is select a number players from the NFL (QBs, RBs, WRs, etc), as well as a team Defense (Chicago's defense, San Fran's defense, etc.). You have a draft at the beginning of the season in order to pick your players (obviously, you'd want your first pick to be a Priest Holmes, Donovan Mcnabb, or Terrell Owens, etc.) Once you have your team, you can make roster changes all season long, to get rid of your players that are doing bad or injured, and sub in the ones that are hot in the NFL (as long as someone doesn't already have them on their team). You go head to head against other people in your league each week, and who wins is determined by how many points your team receives. If your quarterback throws a few TD's, your running back(s) has a strong game, your WR(s) do good, and your defense holds their team to a shut out (all of this in real life of course), then you more than likely are going to win that week. To join, click here http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1...ster/joinleague and choose to "Join a Custom League." (You'll need a Yahoo ID, of course). The league ID # this year is 187482 and the password is aeris. As of right now, there are only 9 open spaces left. Please, please, PLEASE, if you are going to join please make sure that you are willing to participate each week. It takes away from the fun if some of the teams are not active. Don't worry though, it's not like it's a huge time commitment.  We are going to have a live draft through Yahoo on Monday, August 8thrd, at 10:30pm EDT. If you're interested in joining but worried that you might not be able to make the Live Draft, don't fret. If you can't make the live draft, you can pre-rank the players and Yahoo will pick for you based on those rankings. Count me in as well. My pay league is on the rocks, so I'm looking for any game in town. Sidebar: This will be my first year ever living in a town with a team (Nashville) so I'm hoping to make the transition from casual fan to obsessed home-r for good.

Ok good, I wasn't sure if we were having one. You know I'm in. Can't believe I choked in the playoffs last year after my huge lead. Grr...Gonna have to change that this year.

Just a friendly reminder: our draft is tomorrow night at 10:30 EDT. Please try to be there if possible. If not, at least pre-rank your players so that you don't get stuck with Yahoo's default rankings. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks and I didn't play in the CoN league. I played in an office league last year but would rather play in this one. I'm going to try to find it again and join up.
