Samurai. Because their $Toss Command is useful

Monk is also good for HP +30%. If you put two HP+30% on a bare, you'll have alot of Hp than you basically have!

Bare is also nice. The greatest part of it is that you can use every equipment, counter attack, and use two abilities.

Tell me why you like the class you selected.

Me?I like the Sorcerer with 2 Swords. With Ragnarok,Excalibur, and the Flare and Holy spells, they are easily the most powerful class.Period.

I voted Berserker for the reasons stated in the other thread like this. Basically, they have the highest HP of any of the classes, except maybe Monk, and they have the potential to deal massive amounts of damage. Even though you can't control them, they still kick some serious arse.

Mystic Knight is a close runner-up, since they can deal a huge amount of damage with Chicken Knife and Flare sword. As a frog, I was doing like 4k to Halicarnos with the said combination. happy.gif

Edit
I just noticed there is no Berserker option...so I guess I vote for Sorceror.

I've said this in other threads, and it's all about the Mystic Knight. Ragnarok, Excalibur, Flare Sword, 2 Swords. My second favorite would have to be either Dragoon (DrgnSwd = = most underrated ability in the game) or Red Mage (X-Magic ROCKS).

Ceaser, your strategy of using a Chicken Knife and Flare Sword is accurate, but I usually pick the Brave Sword from the old man.I usually like to WIN the battles,as it powers up the Brave Sword, and also helps me come that much closer to mastering a class.I love the Mystic Knight, but if I want a ton of damage quick, tons of HP,and deadly counterattacks,I pick the Monk.Although they could have given Faris' sprite as a monk a better outfit.Thats probably to hide the fact the self-proclaimed "He" is really a "She",though.

In the beginning of the game I have two, White Mage and Monk, first I make someone a monk (usually Galuf) and level up until they learn Brawl, then I make them a White Mage and give them the Brawl ability, and use that person for a while until I get other job classes. But overall we'd all be nowhere without the underappreciated White Mage, so my vote's for them.

The Brave Blade would be a much better choice, I agree; however, in my Mystic Knight single class challenge, from which experience I was speaking, the Brave Blade was of no use to me, since they can't use it. Plus, the battle power advantage of the Brave Blade doesn't really do much when you can do max damage with the Chicken Knife. The only real advantage of using it is that you don't run away from battles every once and awhile.

Yeah, but I was using a game genie code that allowed you to change selected equipment,no matter what job you was.I used it to get everyone two Brave Blades and three sets of genji armor (Two of them were in the head and accesories area)Several battles later, the Brave Blades eventually became better than equipping two Ragnaroks!

The major reason that ninjas were so cool was because of Throw and 2-Wield Weapons. Add that with another powerful class like Lancer or Sorcerer/Magic Knight and you've got a killing machine.

Why isn't thief available?... Sheesh tongue.gif

It is the only class that lets me get really cool stuff..

Like the ultimate weapon of the type (like Judgement Staff) or really useful equipment like get infinite ribbons ( if you really wanted to) or Aegis Shields..

Some of the other more useful ones:
Mystic Knight - has decent strength+agility when you master it.. (no neg stats
Geomancer - extremely easy to master, has good magic power (no neg stats either)

First of all, I voted Mimic. The Mimic can do anything. How about a Mimic that can hit 8 times a turn, cast two summons in a row, and copy someone else's blue magic? (Yes, I'm also a fan of Gogo in FFVI.)

Second of all, there are only up to 10 choices available on a CoN poll, so this is a bit of a problem. You could try grouping classes together, but that would also be problematic.

Third, I'm pretty sure this has been done before, but I'll just wait for a mod to attach it to whatever other thread.

Fourth, you're missing the supercool Blue Mage and takes-forever-to-master but extremely-worth-it Red Mage.

EDIT:

I just realized that I needed !Mimic, !X-Fight, !X-Magic, !Summon, and !Revive for that. So, technically, no Mimic could do all that at once. Therefore, I took out the !Revive part. But, still, with some strategizing, Mimics kick a lot of ass. I used them all throughout the final dungeons of my playthrough.

De javu, I am sure this topic was here before...but answering the question, I`ll go with Knight, the strongest equipment of the game goes for this job, besides it can be stronger than a monk with the brave blade, had good evasion with a good shield, and is cool too.

From what I have played I'd have to say monk because their double hiting thing is awsome.

Nothing like wielding two weapons. They have the best outfits, too. Ninjas are cool in any game... tongue.gif

Best class... really, they're all great. I love Blue Magic, but it would have been nice if it were a little more versatile (I have that complaint about BM in every FF that they appear in), but with so many great skills...

White Wind, Mighty Guard, ????, Death Claw, L. 5 Death, 1000 Needles, Blood Suck, Aqua Breath, Flash...

Im tempted to say Blue Mage as my favorite class, except the silly masks they wear are, IMO, stupid. Berserkers would DEFINITELY be my favorite class if they could use swords too, same with monks and daggers, but I think I'll have to go with Sorcerer. Sword magic makes short work of enemies, especially when you get to pair that with double grip or two swords...

Mmmm... double wielded sword magic...

I love the blue mage. He just has access to such a huge Variety of spells that you gotta love em. He's like a walking collection of really weird abilities. He's got a move for any situation, and he's not as physically pathetic as other mages.

And how dare you insult our silly.. I mean stylish masks?

Gotta go with the Mimic. Come on, just the description of the class alone is worth it. (Battle mimes) Heh,heh. Also can customize your commands list. I would have chosen Bare but I'm not sure if that actually classifies as a job since it is the same as being classless.

Although im pretty new to FFV, i'd have to say monk. I played FFT quite a bit and they seem pretty similar to the monks there... the 30% boost of healt is nice, and 2 attacks at once is like the genji glove off FFVI.

Thieves.. I mean, come on! They can find secret paths, steal treasures, use double lances and boomerangs, and give you maximum speed!!

Second is Monk, because of the HP+??% ability.

Lancer. Jump, kill. Jump, kill. Especially useful against bosses. They can't see me while i'm in the air.

Call me crazy but I like Berserkers. Especially when you're mastering jobs for other characters, as battles play themselves out without you having to do anything (lazy and cheap, I know.)

I also like Mystic Knights and Ninjas for their capability to do nasty damage.

I was thinking more towards the Single Class Challenge side of things. Typically, I make Butz my Berserker and give him either double grip or EqSword.

As for monks, I like to give them bows sometimes... to be honest, Im not sure what I was thinking saying daggers... that's pretty much a ninja.

My favourite class would have to be bare. It looks stupid but it is powerful when you combine it with the ninja 2sword ability. I would also like to say i quite like monk because of the health bonuses and fact that you do not need a weapon to fight (very handy at the start of the game). Dancer is good too because of sword dance (i think that makes you do 4X damage), dammit! I just can't choose!
