Alright, I keep on hearing different ways of how leap works, but I don't think I ever got a straight up answer and I wanna get it over with right now.
What I'm talking about specifically is the pursuit of rages and what situation you're under to actually aquire them. Do you get only the monsters that Gau leaps on, or the ones he leaps and comes back with, or every single battle ya fight from leavin him ta retrievin him. If ya make him run away, does he lose any of the rages he's supposedly been getting? Is it different between the different versions of the game (FFVI, FFVIj, FFVI PS1)? I'm trying to attack this from every angle so my mind can finally be at rest. Post your own opinions till your blue in the face, I don't care, I'm waitin for Zed to answer, but it will be kinda neat to see how people stand on the issue. I don't mean to sound mean, but he tends to be the most reliable source of FFVI info. He's pretty much a FFVI database stored in a human body...I think... -------------------- |

this is the honest answer, but you can just wait for zed if you want:
gau will learn the rages of all the enemies he leaps on (example: if you fight a party of bleary's and hornets, he will have learned bleary AND hornet), and then he will learn all the rages of the enemy party you fought JUST BEFORE he returns (like as in you beat a group of enemies, and he appears at the end so you dont get the experience and gold, but gau will have all the new rages) -------------------- You watch the world exploding every single night Dancing in the sun, a newborn in the light Say goodbye to gravity and say goodbye to death Hello to eternity and live for every breath Your time will come... |
