Oddly your right it never really gets boring.. you just know whats gonna happen before it happens. Plus there is always new ways to beat the game. Like the SCC challage(pretty damn hard) and the no-materia challage, stuff like that makes the game harder and new.

I was under leveled with no materia and I had to fight that stupid dragon and I couldn't win. By the way, you're a mag roader too. Good Job Lionheart_Squall.

Do you remember what level you were xboltx?

at least 4 times for me, just regular happy-go-lucky playthroughs, not any of the challenges - and you dont have to be round 35-40 in wutai, but you have to have alot of x-potions and a whole lot of those fire, lightning, ice, whatever items to throw - i did it around lvl 25 the first playthrough, but the rest of them, i was like lvl 50, and i was doing twice to thrice as much damage as those items, just with normal attack :-P
