I know it is a bit late, but who here is going to summer school right now. I was put in it for the 1st session (6/27-7/15) for English 11 (For juniors that is). My teacher felt it was neccesary even though I didn't fail any classes during both of these past 2 years (My lowest was a B-) So who here is going (or Went for that Matter)?

My wife is in class right now for her Masters' of Public Health, if that counts. Since she only goes as a part time student, she has to go year round to try to get it done in less than three or four years. :\

I'd imagine so, if she's going there part time. Must be rough. :x I'm done with school, so no summer school for me. Although here in Canada (Quebec, at least..) summer school isn't something we're too big on. Summer classes are one thing, when you need a course of sorts, though. I've had to take a certain math course that was a prerequisit to computer science in college over the summer. Wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, but getting up at 6 to go take the bus halfway across town when you're used to getting up at 8 really gets to you; I remember falling asleep while walking one morning. ![]() Just hang in there, it's not as bad as you'd think. Look at it this way: you'll probably spend most of your summer wilting away in front of the PC like most of us do/did, so why not meet new people and better yourself/your grades instead? ...Yeah, it still sucks, though. ![]() -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

I'm currently taking 12 hours worth of classes. After this summer semester I'll have finally earned my bachelor's in computer science. This'll be the third straight semester I've gone without a break, so I'm starting to go slightly more insane than usual. But I'm also fearful of actually completing the semester 'cause I really don't know where to go from there.

Must be rough. :x Yep; she works for a medical school as their biological and chemical safety officer, so her MPH program is free (and the pay is decent!). The catch is that she does have to work full-time to get the benefit, hence only one or two classes a semester. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |
