I dunno. If it's enough to kill someone, the crash has got to be pretty rough.

Nothing ever said that Setzer's scars are from THE accident that killed Daryl though; rather, that it's just from "an" accident (or perhaps several minor ones).

So pretty much, what Tryscal The Great said...

It can't have been the crash which took Daryl's life, as the game shows us he was on an entirely different airship at the time.

SilverFork: I've never seen any proof of its existence, but a poster over at GameFAQs which has a lot of credit in my book refers to the thing every now and then.

Obviously, my theory is hypothesis, but he was telling others what happened to the Falcon when he told this story. Would you have wanted to tell someone that you were on this airship, and while you lived, the woman you loved died?

....Hm. *contemplates fanfiction*

i would start questioning my credulity, if i were you. there was no ultimania for ff6. in fact, there was no ultimania for any ff prior to 8 -- furthermore, the ff8 ultimania was the first ultimania ever to be made, period.

I think I know what poster you mean, as I do visit there occasionally. He's also the one I heard the "scars came from an airship accident/crash" info from. Seeing as I've also read about that elsewhere afterwards that credited one of the guides, I'd say he's credible, just he doesn't know which (or the correct name of) the guide it's printed in and is incorrectly assuming.

I think the supposed "goth" thing is more because of the Amano artwork, as well. Bartz from FFV as far as the artwork goes has stark white hair and black lipstick as well, but he's DEFINITELY not gothic (and of course with the sprite they didn't keep the preliminary designs, as at the time it might've looked weird).
