This is what sucks about living in East Texas. They never bother coming down here.

If he'd come to Houston, I could go to it.

Well, hope you have fun. smile.gif

I didn't even hear they were coming to Connecticut, and I live five minutes from the border. smile.gif

Having looked, seems it's in Hartford; a lot closer to me than it is to you, but no, I'm not going. Have fun, though!

CRAP CRAP CRAP I probably would go, despite the long drive, just because you never know when or where another one will pop up...I would go, except that I already have tickets for the Delaware Symphony AT THE SAME EXACT TIME!! CRAP Oh well, at least I get to hear The Planets.

:::EDIT:::
I just checked Ticketmaster, and there's apparently going to be another Uematsu concert in Atlanta, GA at 8pm on the 24th and 6pm on the 25th

^ Seriously?! It's a bit of a drive to Atlanta from Asheville, NC, but I could make it if they aren't sold out (which is probably inevitable).

Edit
w00t! Just bought tickets for the Atlanta concert the 24th of June. For the podunk balcony seats, 'cause I'm broker than Wacko Jacko's nose!

Unfortunately, I only found out about this concert two days ago; ironically, I now 'live' (technically, 'permanent residence', since I'm in college in Massachusetts) in Hartford County now, since my parents moved there last year.

Also, a person at school has offered to sell a ticket to the concert. But at $70 a piece, I would have to be forced to buy it.

Gahaha, I went. Front row. Gahaha.

If anyone was there, I was the one in the front who SQUEALED after Terra's Theme and jumped up and almost fell onto the stage clapping.

Just got home about five minutes ago.
Six hours of driving for an hour and a half concert.

I was very dissapointed that Uematsuo wasn't there. My only actual problem with the concert is that all of the songs with video were played first. So the first songs had video, and like the whole last half of the concert was just like going to a high school band concert (that played much better)
Cully - Did you see the Terra and Locke cosplay? They made me smile!
And I dunno how early you were there, but I was floating around outside the theatre for a really long time with a few creepy looking guys. X3

And on another note..
I might go to Michigan to see the next one, in hopes of seeing Uematsuo.
And I'll also scan parts of my program. (They had crappy ones, and nice, expensive ones. I got the expensive one. It's shiny!)

Revival!

Anyone else go to the Atlanta concert?

I just got back a little while ago. I thought driving three and a half hours for a concert was bad, but apparently there were some people there from New York and even Hawaii. I hope that's not ALL they came that far out for. And as myself and three friends discovered, cheapo tickets sometimes CAN get you the best seats. Seriously.

And there was a Rydia cosplayer (and one or two Aerises). Hee.

Great show, overall, though. My top favorites for the night would definitely had to have been Liberi Fatali, Terra's Theme, Vamo' Alla Flamenco and the FFI - III Medley. Course, there were a few flaws, like Theme of Love seemed to drag on towards the end and the finale, Final Fantasy, had too slow a tempo, I thought. They even played the encore twice; that might've been a little less tedious if I was actually fond of the song. Regardless, the performances were all excellent.

And Uematsu wasn't there either, unfortunately. On the up side, the $20 programs contain quite a bit of Amano art. I approve! smile.gif

They play TERRA'S THEME? Man, now I REALLY am teh sadz0rz. The worst part is that there was a concert in Dallas recently, and my COUSINS live in Dallas! In fact, we're leaving to go visit them TOMORROW! If only I had talked my parents into visiting earlier and going to the concert!

Gah, why won't they perform in Houston, dangit?

Lucky you, tell us how it went if you do go.

Houston gets so many concerts! Another friend there's gonna go see the Killers there too, wah.

CRAPPO THE CLOWN! I went to the site, got a #, yada yada, and guess what? First of all, I can't go by myself, I'm only 13, and there was ONE FRICKIN' SEAT LEFT! Not just one seat, but a seat with a "partially obstructed view of the stage," and it cost 60 FRICKIN' DOLLARS!

Man, I was all gettin' my hopes up, only for them to be trampled by misfortune. And some of the tickets were only like $13, too! Just the level that the one seat was on was 60 bucks, so even if there's not a great view of the stage, the area it's in made it expensive.

CURSES! They'd better have one in Houston... sad.gif

On July 1st there was a Final Fantasy concert in Ft. Worth,Tx at Bass Hall. I drove 6 hours to see, and needless to say it was the most wonderful thing I have ever seen in my life. I know there are some members in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area and I was just curious if anyone else here had gone to this event.
