A tie between Carry Armor and Sephiroth.
I narrowly beat Carry Armor with Red XIII's Sled Fang. If that didn't kill him, I would have lost. This post has been edited by DarkTonberry34 on 11th June 2005 15:58 -------------------- Ultimately a man must travel his chosen path alone. |

None, that's the big problem with the game, it was made too easy. They should have used much more status attack, such as stop and slow.
ALL bosses in the game are easy to beat. and that is sure a sad thing... ![]() -------------------- Sayonara |

I found it so difficult to do any damage to Ruby most times I played this. And he killed me easily enough.

The only boss to give me any real trouble was Rapps the first time I played. Later I learned a few tricks, but before that...

Colour me quirky, but I voted Other. Schizo gave me the most trouble out of any boss. I can't remember why exactly, but he just sucked. Dyne always annoyed me as I didn't use Barret that often, but he didn't come close to Schizo.

Ha, Ruby was my toughest... Emerald was a push-over if you knew what you were doing. All he had was a lot of HP. Ruby, however, a lot of annoying attacks and great defenses.
After awhile, you DO get sick of Knights of the Round... I also had trouble with Demon's Gate. I just couldn't fight him... I don't know why. -------------------- Snaaaaaaaaake! I'm flying! Wheeeeeee!!! Oro? |

I vote Carry Armour because....on an SCC game he truely screws you over, one arm grab and it's off to the land of GAME OVER. (For those of you at home who don't no what an SCC game is, it's where you only use one character, e.g Cloud, for the whole game unless he is un-avaliable, then you use only ONE other character. So SCC stands for Single Character Challenge.
Bottomswell is also hardest cos of his Waterpolo attack, he only has Cloud to bubble and as soon as hes bubbled: GAME OVER ![]() -------------------- -~"Let's Mosey!!"~- |

I can't imagine that happening in any other situation. ![]() In terms of difficulty, I'd have to go with Zodiac: None of the bosses were very hard for me. I'll admit, the first time through the game, Demon's Gate, Schizo, and Carry Armor did give me a little trouble, but still not very much. -------------------- ~ Aurora, exhale bloody air! Yeah Reno is also trouble but he is rather open to a Cross-Slash to cause [Stop].
Also, because you only have one character, they gain new limits really fast, so Metorain also ends the battle quickly ![]() Aha, my bad ![]() This post has been edited by G3rmaholic on 11th June 2005 21:28 -------------------- -~"Let's Mosey!!"~- |

Yeah, Carry Armor can be quite difficult even with three characters. All it uses is Lapis Laser which does 900 damage (about 650 w/M-Barrier).
G3rmaholic (sorry if it is spelled wrong), what level was Cloud at when you fought Carry Armor? This post has been edited by DarkTonberry34 on 11th June 2005 22:37 -------------------- Ultimately a man must travel his chosen path alone. |

Evilwall in the Temple of the Ancients! He was the only boss in the game that took me more than one try to beat!

It's been a while, but I think that the first time through, I didn't really use Yuffie very much, so actually Godo ended up being the hardest boss.
In subsequent games the bosses were all pushovers |

None have given me trouble for quite some time, but I always dreaded fighting Carry Armor in my early days, so that's my answer. Lapis Laser usually mowed me down. =/

I had trouble with Godo too. I had to wait unitl he ran out of MP, which took quite a long time! Eventually I managed to take him down.

I've always had trouble with Ruby WEAPON. Emerald took me patience and a couple pairs of Pheonix(mastered)-with-Final Attack(mastered) but I pulled it off. Ruby would destroy me 2 minutes into the battle.

I can't say Proud Clod after beating him a million times in the Arena.
Carry Armor always kinda scared me until I learned that levelling up is good. But Emerald was, and always will be, my big bad baby. I've yet to kill him without 7777s. -------------------- |

There are many different ways to beat Ruby WEAPON Bad Andy (I'm assuming here you haven't beaten him yet??) I wont go into detail because there are so many but using the item 'Dazers' can stop him, you can summon 'Hades' to cause Stop aswell, and for the cheap way out, link KotR to HP Abosrb, cast it and mime it. Hope it helped.

once i learned that leveling up isnt just boring, its good for you, not a single boss has caused me problems (i have yet to fight the weapons, aside from ultimate) but in my first play, Proud Clod was intenesly difficult - though i seem to remember being only lvl 30.... not a good idea, eh? :-P -- the one winged angel was a tad difficult too, but after my humiliating defeat by proud clod, i'd lvld up so crazy that it was crazy
oh, and seanyboy, you need to lvl up man, and make sure to cast big guard on yerself, or wall, if you have it - really helps - just keep summoning, and summoning and summoning - that was my tactic - plus lvl 3/2 limits helpt a bit ;-) -------------------- -In the beginning the Universe was created. My most difficult boss fight was the materia keeper or rapps. Rapps is hard if you dont know what your doing. For example like if you dont take away his mp. But my materia keeper fight was hard because all my charcters died except Vincint was left with his form that usually uses fire attacks and the materia keeper absorbs fire. So i won after a long time of fire attacks being absorbed. Hojo is also hard.

Emerald weapon was a pain in the rear end without the ribbons. If you had what you needed it wouldn't have been a problem. But dang if you didn't have the right stuff. He was one heck of a problem for me for a while. Other then that Ultima Weapon was disapointingly easy and so was Sephiroth.

Ugh it has to be ruby for me, because the first time I tried, he like love tapped my party and 2 characters died, then he buried his arms and poked my last character[cloud] into many many many many status effects =[

Well, Godo was really easy for me... considering, I used Yuffie a lot. Demon's Gate was just really hard for me, that rock attack almost wiped out my party everytime.

I had the hardest time with Ruby Weapon. Everything else was pretty easy. The only reason I beat Ruby Weapon is because after 2 hours of fighting I got Lucky 7s. That was nice.
