Hi!
Possible spoilers: highlight to view * FuSoYa and Golbez already went to the core of the moon. * I've got the Excalibur sword. * Rydia can summon Asura, Leviathan, Odin, Bahamut and Sylph. So I thought, hey, I've been to everywhere except the "end". I reckon I should be able to find Yang and wake him up, but he isn't in the Sylph Cave or in the house of the Sylphs, neither is he in Fabul. Am I too late for this scenario? -------------------- |

This is out of my general range to answer, but the last time i saw yang he was sleeping on the bed in his home with his wife cooking with the secret frying pan item.
Somehow i heard that you must acquire the rat tail and then trade that with yangs wife for her frying pan in order to wake yang. I could be wrong though, so youll want definate confirmation before attempting. WARNING: Unauthorized gamer {-11 intelligence points} -------------------- <DrkMagimaster282> MWAHAHA. Think you are too late. Wasn't he on an airship when it was time to assualt the Giant of Babul?
At least you got the sylphs. Check with his wife, it might not be too late to get that wonderful spoon. This post has been edited by The Ancient on 17th May 2005 17:27 -------------------- "That Light has bestowed upon me the greatest black magic!" |

If you wait until after the Tower of Bab-il to find Yang, you can't. He won't be with the Sylphs anymore. You only get the scenes of hitting him with the frying pan before the Tower. I did the same thing recently in my first playthrough in probably five years. Tis a pity.

No, you can't get the Spoon without getting the Pan, and she won't give you the Pan unless you have seen Yang. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

The fact that he has the sylph summon means that he has seen Yang and hit him with the frying pan. When you wake him up, they join you in his place. Try the tower of wishes- behind the crystal room in mysidia.
You'll find a myriad of other characters too. -------------------- If you've been mod-o-fied, It's an illusion, and you're in-between. Don't you be tarot-fied, It's just alot of nothing, so what can it mean? ~Frank Zappa Sins exist only for people who are on the Way or approaching the Way |

Alright. To see Yang with the slyphs, you MUST do it before FuSoYa joins your party. Once FuSoYa joins your party, and you take the Blue Whale back to earth, you fight the Giant of Babil, and Yang is in one of the airships, fighting against it.
In order to get the Spoon, you must see him, go to his wife and get the Frying Pan, Go back and hit him on the head, and return the pan to his wife. All of this, again, must be done BEFORE getting FuSoYa in your party. If you try after that point, you have lost the Spoon. How ever, you CAN get the Slyphs after you fight the Giant of Babil. I did this on my current trip though the game. All you have to to, is head down to the Slyph's cave, and talk to them. They will tell you the same thing they did if you hit Yang on the head with the pan, and will give you the summon. I ignored the Slyph cave, untill after having fought the Giant, and when I went down to talk to them, I got Slyph summon too. -------------------- "And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped” -Sir Bedevere the Wise |

I'm afraid I don't get the nature of this topic so I just have one question. When you say "Wanted:Yang" you don't mean that you want him in your party do you? 'Cause that isn't happening unfortunatly. I only ask because I was somebody who wished Yang to be in the final party during my first time through and the final party will be the one you have now no matter what you do. Cecil, Edge, Kain, Rosa and Rydia. The game's terribly rigid about it's party system as nothing you can do will change the preset parties. Otherwise yeah, the Tower of Wishes is probably where you'll want to go, just as MogMaster has said. I know that's where Edward is. . . Also
Possible spoilers: highlight to view finally you'll also see Yang during the final battle, giving you some of his power before the final fight during the whish sequence. This post has been edited by Tonepoet on 17th May 2005 21:43 -------------------- |

So I guess demonseed wil have to do without my favorite weapon. Sorry buddy. Good news is, it doesn't take that long to play through FFIV from the beginning. ![]() -------------------- "That Light has bestowed upon me the greatest black magic!" |
