I just hope that what's-his-face that plays adult Anakin took some acting lessons in the few years it's been since Ep. II. He was atrocious in that. I've got a feeling that Ep III's gonna be awesome, though.

His name is Hayden Christensen, and I think he did a good job in ep. I and II.

He ruined Anakin for me, and thats all there is to it. No love for Hayden up in here, eh?
Oh snap, of course he wasn't in episode one.... Anakin was just a kid. Duh. Whoever said that was the worst child actor ever, though, I ask you this... did you see the remake or The Shining, with Rebecca DeMornay? That kid sucked ass in that role. I didn't watch the remake of The Shining, but I did watch Jingle All the Way, an interview iwth the "actor," a making of video, and the Racer video games. Horrible, just horrible. He's just as horrible in Jingle All the Way as he was in Phantom Menace.

I love that flash.

I do not know if this applies to other areas of the country or world but yesterday tickets went on sale for the midnight showing of the movie on opening day (or I guess morning). I was going to get them but I had to work. Did anyone get them or plans to?

In case you're in the Northern California area, you can enter to win tickets to the charity showing on May 13th in Modesto, CA. I didn't have the funds to drop $150 (or $250 for that matter) on Star Wars.
http://www.modbee.com/man/contests/starwars/ I entered 5 times (once for me, and my mom, dad, sister, and niece) for a better chance. From what I can tell, tickets have been on sale for about a week or two already. There are reservations signs all over one of the theatres down here. Pretty good prices too, from what I can tell.

Seeing it with a bunch of buddies first day, not a 12:01 though like you. I'm not that kind of fan. After (sigh) Episode II, I'm really hoping this one is a lot better, and from the preview I've seen... it should be a good watch.
Although, on the night of my prom, everyone in my limo went to see Spider-Man 2 at 12:01 that night. Still in full prom attire ![]() Edit: Well despite what I said I got an email from my friend... seeing it at the 12:01 showing first day... thankfully I have the next day off school to sleep in ![]() This post has been edited by Racthoh on 16th May 2005 12:52 -------------------- This is my world: (Got my second chapter up, 3rd Chapter about 80% complete) http://www3.sympatico.ca/daniel876/homepage.html |

Yeah, I am. I though about going to the 12:01 showing, but then I was like. I need sleep 'cuz of finals and that would definitely hinder my ability to sleep. So, May 20th sounds good.

Star Wars is overrated. ![]() By the way, has anyone heard about the group of 130-some Star Wars fans who sat around outside a theater for 40 days only to learn it wasn't going to be shown there, and are now protesting? With all due respect, people that stupid who take 40 days away from their studies/job (probably failing/losing them in the process) to wait for a movie to come out at a theater where the first two episodes showed (even when it won't come out there) deserve a good bullet between the eyes. There's no movie theater in my city ( dammed undeveloped country's centralism...) but my friends and I are going to get together to watch all the movies in one day ( from Ep. I to VI ) the day of the premier of Ep. III.

Golly, Gambling Cat, thanks. I hadn't thought of that.
I wasn't going to bother seeing it in theatres, because it's just too expensive. But a friend a little ways upstate invited us out for next Friday night, and he's going to pick up the tickets, so why the heck not. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |
