At the World of Ruin, it is obvious that if you have waited for Shadow in the Floating Continent, he will appear in the Coliseum and fight you when you wager the Striker. However, I found something else.
Is this the final dream? Is this supposed to happen? Is this a glitch? Or was I just mistaken? -------------------- Nine-hundred ninety-nine billion nine-hundered ninety-nine million nine-hundred ninety-nine thousand nine-hundred ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall... |

Is there anyone who DIDN'T know about this? Â Check any guide and you'll figure this out. Â The reason they call Shadow a she is because if you don't wait for Shadow, Relm will be unconscious in the back of the cave before she appears in Owzer's place in Jidoor.
EDIT: And isn't the only way to get the Striker in the first place to go to the Cave on the Veldt? WTF. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? Yeah, the Striker is only found in the cave, unless of course you use a Game Genie code or something of that sort to modify the stores to sell it to you. ..Eh, who knows?

Do you all good to read my doc.
You can Metamorph a Ninja, Covert, or Outsider into a Striker. If you're insane, you can have a Striker before reaching the Sealed Gate itself. Â W00t. Â Like anyone wants to do that. -------------------- |

Just as a side note, the reason everyone calls Shadow a "she" when you find him (note that this doesn't happen in the Final Fantasy Anthologies version of FFVI) is because of a slight dialogue mistake. If you don't stay and wait for Shadow on the Floating Continent, then he's gone for good; and you'll find Relm in the Cave in the Veldt instead of Shadow, and the ninja won't appear if you bet a Striker, you'll just face Chupon. They forgot to change the "she" (for when you find Relm) to a "he" (for when you find Shadow), hence the gender-bending.
Also, if you choose to leave Shadow behind, you'll see a different dream involving Relm when you find her in the Cave. But considering just how good Shadow is, you probably wouldn't want to do that anyway. -------------------- "I always have a quotation for everything - it saves original thinking." ~Dorothy L. Wait... you found Relm in the cave, and fought Shadow in the colloseum... on the same file, or did you save at the continent and go through twice? Â Did you save Shadow at the continent?
You get four of the dreams activated via sleeping at Inns. Â The most popular rumor there is that it must be a pay Inn, not some free one like the back of the Relic shop in Mobliz. The other two come about depending on who you save from the Cave in the Veldt. Shadow and Relm both have dreams, but you can only see one of them per game because only one can show up at the cave, and if you didn't save Shadow at the floating continent, Relm appears and there is no way to get Shadow back. That's why I asked if you're absolutely certain that you found Relm in the cave and got Shadow back in the same file. -------------------- |

Very, very unlikely. See FF4 answer. Think about it: what would be their REASON for changing an arbitrary bit of plot/gameplay?
I have FF6 UK, and I'll play through it sometime, but it's safe to assume that isn't it. |

Del S, did you get Shadow at the Colloseum before you went ALL the way through the cave? If so, then there would be no point in Shadow being there, so.....maybe that's it?

As far as I know...and this is pretty much a spoiler of the entire Shadow thing, so here:
Alright, that should clear up that entire mess, for good. Â ![]() But as for the dreams, there are four, and I have did not know that they were really in a certain order. |

It was because if you don't save Shadow Relm will show up in the Cave not Shadow. It is a dream but not the last.
