Hi i'm play ff7 again But when i get to the part of the first chocobo race(to escape the desert jail thing right after barret fights the other guy with a gun arm)my screen turn black and compter freezes.
Doesn anyone know what is casuing this?I've tried it many times using all the resolutions(320x240 640x480)and its still the same . My system is Windows xP home edition

When i run the configuration all passes except for 8-bit Paletted Textures.Duno if that has to do with it. All help is thx

My friend actually had the EXACT same problem. Turns out he had a bad copy and was unable to exchange it for a different one that actually worked.

I hope this isn't the case with yours. I personally don't have it for the PC, but I would check to see if there are any patches on the net that fix that problem.

There has been at least one other thread on this topic, which is http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/forums/ipb/in...?showtopic=5747 . Again, there's apparently some patch that can be applied to the program to keep it from crashing. I've downloaded the patch, but I haven't actually used it yet, since my friend still has my FFVII game which I lent to him a while back.

(May I suggest to the mods that an FFVII computer crash/glitch sticky thread be instituted?)
