I've included the animal buddies from all three SNES Donkey Kong Country games.
I love Squawks. He's so awesome. I was so glad he had a bigger role in the second game, and that he was also in the third game. And Squitter's the man! -------------------- "I will create a monument to nonexistence!!" "The end comes ... beyond chaos." ~ Kefka, Final Fantasy VI |

Winky, by far. He's the only animal buddy I'd mindlessly dive into a bottomless pit after just to desperately try and get back if he was spooked. I just could not finish a level if I lost my frog pal.
He shoulda been in more of the games. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway. I liked the water levels alot in the DKC games, maybe it was the pretty colors in the coral, I dunno. So I've been a fan of Enguarde and Clapper (the seal that freezes icy water and cools lava for you.

I always loved Rambi, and subsequently hated the elephant when the elephant replaced him. Rambi should not be replaced!

• Enguarde the swordfish
Not only was he a cool, happy looking dude but he was also the only way to get things done underwater. I mean, practically everything's invincable down there unless you've got your swordfish pal Engaurde. I like 'em all however, alside from Ellie the Elephant. I only don't like her[?] though because I haven't seen her yet. I want DCK 3, I really really do. This post has been edited by Tonepoet on 20th April 2005 23:37 -------------------- |

Man took me a while to think back to the game, its been over a decade and my memory ain't so good anymore. After much consideration I went with Rambi just cause that is the only one I have a good memory of.

Though they all had their uses, both Rambi and Enguarde were the best at killing enemies. I liked the fact that getting them meant that the level just got a whole lot easier.

I liked that fish in DKC Diddy's Quest in that level where there's a half-sunken ship and you go in a water. That fight with that light sticking out of his head helped me through...

Can't believe no one else voted for Expresso. No need to kill enemies when you can just run and fly right over them!

Heheehee, I love Enguarde, the swordfish. Nothing like combining a sword and a fish...
