I'm pretty sure I've given a list of my favorites well over a year ago, but since I can't really remember and am too lazy to look it up, I'll just post my current favorites:

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn and the expansion Throne of Bhaal (PC) .
This game is simply my favorite RPG of all time, bar none. Imaginative and creative story combined with the smooth gameplay and features refined upon from the original Baldur's Gate game make this such an enjoyable game with a great replay value from start to finish. Because there's so many combinations of characters and parties (even though I like to solo), the game provides for endless hours of entertainment.

Diablo II (PC)
I used to be so addicted to this game, that on one of the ladder resets I played the game for about fourteen hours straight and became the top player on USEast hardcore expansion for a while (he was a Barbarian and reached level 91 at the end of my fourteen hour run on hardcore mode). After that, I realized I had completely and thoroughly conquered the game with my acquisition of almost every item in the game, and spent the rest of the time dueling other players in hardcore mode. It was so fun to kill people off permanently, just to piss them off. I don't really play it much now, but I can't deny that the game had taken up much of my time in high school.

Final Fantasy II (SNES)
The game that started my RPG experience at 7 years old, this will always remain a classic in my mind. My father rented the game once when it first came out, and we had played it for the next two days straight until it was due back to Wegman's. I was so bummed when it had to be returned, since we had gotten all the way to Kainazzo and I thought it might've been near the end. That year my dad surprised me on my birthday and bought it for me. I have him to thank for getting me into gaming heavily, since he still plays all forms of games to this day and sometimes talks to me over the phone to tell me of the latest game he bought (his latest is that new Star Wars: KotoR II game). But man, am I glad I got this game all those years ago.

I, like many here, have nearly all of the FF games on my list of favorite RPG's (FFVIII excluded), so I won't go through and list them all. Really, I'm only posting to mention one RPG that I loved for many years and still do love, but hasn't been mentioned yet as far as I know. Robotrek for SNES. Amazing game. Personal favorite. My robot with 99 Guard, 99 speed, two Sheild 5's equipped, some Boots 5, and Bomb 4 lv.9 is yet to take damage, even from the final bosses. He hasn't been damaged once. Not even 1. Every hit is either a zero or a miss. That game r0x0rs my s0x0rs. happy.gif
