Okay, ya people, we all wish like hell that this or that character from one game would fight against another dude from a differrent game, right?
Tell me, what are your dreamt-of Crossover Showdowns (one-on-one only) and their settings? Hm?

Mine are:

Heihachi Mishima (Tekken) against Akuma (Street Fighter)...two badass, evil karate champions, plus Heihachi has always had this thing about fighting people with the Devil in them, hasn't he? Setting: the Cave on Akuma's island. Can't picture the old red-head in Heihachi's arena... Alternative setting: the old cliche'd endless field of grass complete with raging storm. Go for it.

Zero (MMX) vs. Genjuro (Samurai Showdown): the ultimate swordfight. plus it's a fight in the "Capcom vs. SNK" group I've never seen... Setting: techno-cave or some old factory. Let them jump around some...

Samanosuke (Onimusha) vs. Edge (Final Fantasy IV): Ninja vs Samurai...Power of Oni against Ninja techs...I think this one would be more than a sweet fight... Setting: anywhere where they can do the most damage while at it...

Edit
YES I do think Capcom chars could "get out" more ph34r.gif

Seeing as most characters are from vastly different universes where completely different levels of power/laws of physics apply, this isn't a very likely thing. For instance: Zero vs. Genjuro: Zero's beam saber cuts through steel like it were butter. And he has a long-distance one-shot-kill weapon: a gun (for all intent and purpose.) Hrm. Why not replace Genjuro by a cute cuddly sheep? It'd be the same, only the sheep would sound less pissed off moments before being sliced through by 5' of burning plasma. smile.gif

Although I would indeed like to see characters from the Samurai Showdown series fighting against characters from the Last Blade series. Gaira vs Shigen? Nicotine vs. Okina? Rasetsumaru vs. Mukuro? Hanzo vs. that traditional ninja dude nobody ever plays? Cham Cham vs. Akari?

SNK needs more crossovers like that. Too much focus on KoF. Not enough on Samurai Shodown. ;P

Or dudette.

It doesn't matter, anyway, as I'm thinkin' two males. I often see fanart with several of the FF villains hanging around, and I think, "Man, Kefka would so kill Sephiroth." First of all, his final form is that of a two-winged angel, thank you muchly, and secondly Kefka is just so unstable and unpredictable and crazy-psycho-insane that Mr. Cool and Broody wouldn't stand a chance.

But, of course, this is only my opinion.

Kefka's HP is stored over 2 bytes.

Sephiroth's is stored over 4.

Technology wins. wink.gif

You haven't played SNK vs Capcom Chaos have you? Both characters are in it, though Zero was unbalanced like many other characters <cough>Goenitz<cough>Shin Mr. Karate<cough>

Ah, but Fallen One makes that all inconsequential, doesn't it?

Well, I've tons I'd like to see but I'll just list down these two:

Dr. Robotnik Vs. Dr. Wily ~ Battle of the evil genieuses. Weapons of choice: A small varity of ridable mecha that they've desinged. Motives: Conflicting plans of world domination or a scientific squabble.

Both seem to be pretty evenly matched seeing as they've both got tons of wits and devices. While Robotnik's got more battle experiance and can easily get into the next veichle if his first ride's taken down, Wily's no first timer to the battle field and always has an extra trick up his sleeve. Robotnik might have an upper edge when it comes to sometimes being able to use Emerald powered tech but then again, Wily's reguarly capable of making technology that doesn't go out of date for a several millenia it seems. With crushing claws, laser beams, all sorts of projectile going all over the place, this would make for one heck of a show.

Megaman and Protman Vs. Sonic and Knuckles Vs. X and Zero Weapons ~ The Purple Team Death Match. Weapons of choice: Copy Weapons, Parts and Hyper Emeralds w Rings Motives: Trick Knuckles into thinking the robots are Robotnik made Emerald theives and turn X and Zero Maverick and everybody else will get sucked in. Trust me.

Note: Hyper Emeralds are the ones from Sonic 3 + Sonic and Knucles cartridge. They're basicly supercharged Chaos Emeralds that give better Super forms, Hyper forms.

First off, I know what I'm doing. Sonic and Kuckles fight hi-tech robots for a living and Megaman and Protoman have faced overwhelming odds and came out on top before as well. The teams each have their distinct advanteges and disadvantages. Team Light Bots for example are well balanced fighters with a decent set of ranged attacks. Team Sonic has both great melee power/speed temporary powerboost in the middle of the battle. Team Reploid while they're theoretically much more powerful then the other two teams, can't totally controll their crazed actions while Maverick. The actual fight would probably be an awesome battle with many twists and turns but it would also short lived. You see, for some reason ignorant good guys as well as the mentally changed ones, alway find out what happened and end up fixing it somehow before any real damage is done. Oh well, no loss is a good loss as I always say.

Well those are my two picks. Most of the others that I have are already covered by Marvel Vs Capcom 2 or SSBM. Most of them that is. I love those games.

oh man, this is kinda tough....well lets see....what are some good dream showdowns...

concering final fantasy, id love to see ozma face off with sephiroth! i know thats be pretty damn weird, but still, both are pretty damn tough to beat.

another funky one id like to see is MKs shao khan against megamans sigma. yeah sounds weird too, but still, both are big dudes and i think thatd be cool to watch!

See More (Total 9)
Vergil vs. Sephiroth. Battle of the Japanese silver-haired katana-wielding not-quite-human purposefully-badass final villain cliches. My money's on Vergil, despite the longer sword and longer hair of everyone's favoritest FF VII psycho.

Vyse vs. Cervantes. Dual sword wielding pirates duking it out. Cervantes wins from inherent badass factor and the fact that his movelist is considerably deeper than Vyse's (obviously).

Yugo vs. Jon Talbain. Werewolf vs. Werewolf. Jon wins because he's a super-fun character from a series that's actually good. BR has good character design, but that's where the goodness ends.

Chu-Chu vs. Magus. The ultimate character contrast from MK's Square resume. Seeing Magus beat the Shinto out of that stupid fuzzball would be incredibly gratifying.

Mai vs. Kasumi. Behold the wet dream of many a middle school boy. I'm sure there are ten or eleven thousand crossover fanfics involving these two, but not *exactly* in combat.

If you know the games from which all ten of those characters are from, you get a cookie. Or something.

SW, you are correct. I'm dying to play SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos, however I can nowhere find a working version. Drives me nuts, actually.

Hmm... another one I neglected to post earlier: Forte (together with Gospel) against Zero. Who's the better design, eh? I know Wily himself said Zero was mych stronger than Forte, but remember Forte has Gospel's backup and the ongoing urge to get up and fight again... until he wins. Plus, he's a tricky son of a conveyor belt.

For SvC Chaos, I've only played it on a friend's emulation. It gets boring very fast once you use all the hidden characters, which makes up half of the roster already. The Shin Akuma vs Shin Mr. Karate match is more intriguing to me.

Dante vs Kratos? I think I'll leave that duel to your imagination.

Ryu from BoF2 V Rydia adult. Technically both summoners. Granted, Ryu only gets a one shot deal, but take a WiseBL (ether equivilent)...Ryu: Fire puppy! Rydia: Chocobo! Ryu: Fire dragon! Rydia: Ifreet! Ryu: g.Dragon! Rydi: Bahamut! ...both: AW, SHOOT! Out of mana-healing items!

thus resorting to melee combat. Which would arguably be a pushover for Ryu, due to his huge bulging muscles and Rydia's lack of shield. Swords all the way.

Come to think about it, an even better pairing: Agni (BoF1) v Bahamut! Yeah, I like dragons.

also, Tonepoet, regarding the wily/robotnik battle: you forgot to mention their similarities with choice of face fur.

But wait: there's more! How about...Ifreet vs inferno (soul calibur)?

Well, growing up I dug Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat (moreso MK) and I would've loved to see
Chun-Li vs. Sonya: Two deadly femme fatals with martial arts expertise with fireballs and deadly moves, this would be THE best SF VS. MK battle.

Any two FF characters from any FF games would be cool as well. There are so many Crossover battles that would be totally awesome.
