Alright I have a quick question involving the sidequests, I read that you need Mustadio in order to go into that man's house with the strange machine, and this leads to going into the deep dungeon and such. So does this mean that you need him in order to unlock the DD, or even do this sidequest at all?

I'm pretty sure Mustadio isn't actually necessary for the Deep Dungeon rumor to take place in Warjilis, but it's been a while since I checked that out. The FFT Walkthrough seems to indicate same, though.

I know that you need Mustadio to get Reis, Beowulf, Worker 8, or Cloud in your party, also to get the Escutcheon II and Javelin II, but I think you can still do the Deep Dungeon. All you need to do is
Possible spoilers: highlight to view That should let you see the tavern scene in Warjilis Trade City and unlock the Deep Dungeon. defeat the three last Shrine Knights in Murond Holy Place, right before you are allowed to go through the final sequence of battles starting in Orbonne Monestary. -------------------- |

No, Mustadio is not needed to reach the Deep Dungeon.

Yeah after doing some looking over I noticed that the Cloud Sidequest and Deep Dungeon are two different optional sidequests, shame on me for kicking out Mustadio

Yeah.... you'll hate it even more when you don't have his Snipe ability to utilize while in the DD treasure hunting. Beowulf is a near MUST HAVE in there, though....

I'm keeping all special characters but I never use them
![]() I never found out why some people find him so good... I don't think a 50%+ chance to add either don't move/don't act to a target is very effiency... Paralyze and Don't move are doing the job with a greater effect range/% chance. As it has been said, you don't need any character to be able to get into the deep dunjon. But be well prepared because you will notice that fighting against 4 to 10 enemys per battle while searching for the next exit can be something hard. That is why Beowulf is going to be so useful, you can automaticly cast sleep on the last enemy alive. ![]() Good luck and may your characters live long! -------------------- Sayonara |

If it's any consolation I kept Agrias (She came in handy alot) and Rafa, I would've kept Malak too but the squad was getting to big already and it gets harder to keep track of Exp. and AP. Advice well taken.

My current task is to beat the game with only two characters- Ramza, a Ninja, tried and true, and a Mediator/Wisard companion... along with two chocobo for them to hop around with. So far it is working, and I'm almost to chapter 3. However, I like to keep a huge party- everyone that I've ever taken with Invite plus the special characters, simply because it is cool to have an army.

Quote (Zodiac @ 7th April 2005 15:33) I never found out why some people find him so good... I don't think a 50%+ chance to add either don't move/don't act to a target is very effiency... True, but it's instant, doesn't use MP, and can be performed from eight panels away. Combined with Mustard-boy's speed, this means you'll normally get two chances to snipe before the enemy is in range. And if you get someone with "good" or "best" zodiac compatibility, you can snipe all day. That, and magic guns just rock. And Chemists and Mediators don't. ![]() -------------------- Wasabi Viniagrette: Mix 1/3 C rice vinegar, 2 Tbsp sesame oil, and 2 tsp powdered wasabi.
