Well, DC fans, Countdown to Infinite Crisis hit the stores last week (unless my local comic book store was the only one to get it late).
First of all, 80 pages for only a buck is pretty sweet. It centers around Blue Beetle, a minor player for the past several years, which is also pointed out several times. It is also pointed out that he's considered a joke among the JLA, yet when it all comes down to it, he outsmarts Batman and in the end, he makes the right decision behind the dilemma given to him in the final chapter. Didn't like how it spoiled Green Lantern: Rebirth. Sure, we knew how it was going to end up, but still. This story seems to be setup for the four series advertized in the comic, so watch out for [/i]Day of Vengeance[/i], The OMAC Project, Villains United, and The Rann-Thanagar War. Anyone know who's on the picture of the cover of DoV #1? My best guesses are The Spectre and Pariah (from Crisis, which I'm in the middle of). What were your reactions? -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |
