Cid's Dynamite. I love the way he pulls it out then lights it with his cigarette. Sets such a great example for impressionable children. Classic.

Aeris is the worst character in the game until you get her last four limit breaks. Great Gospel is the Moon Light/Silver Dragon/hella-cheap healing spell of FF VII. It teams up with Fury Brand to be the most helpful limit in the game.

What exactly does Great Gospel do anyway? I've never gotten it and I think it's too much work to get it anyway. Either way I'd go with Slots, although Omnislash comes in handy, it's just too damn powerful for my liking, and I hate beating Sephiroth in like 5 turns.

Quote (Bum's Rush @ 31st March 2005 03:41) What exactly does Great Gospel do anyway? I've never gotten it and I think it's too much work to get it anyway. It does take a lot of work, but I managed to learn it during the Temple of the Ancients sequence because I keep my characters permanently in Hyper and I started to use Aeris often once she learned the amazing Fury Brand. Great Gospel is essentially her two previous limit breaks, Planet Protector and Pulse of Life, combined. First, it fully restores your entire party's HP and MP and recovers the entire party from status effects (just like Pulse of Life); second, it makes your party invincible to damage and adverse status effects for a short period (it has a meter like Barrier and MBarrier for how long it lasts). Like I said, so awesome it's broken. However, despite it's awesomeness, it isn't such a bad idea to replace it with your level 2 limit breaks because the meter fills up so much more quickly. In the Temple of the Ancients against the Demon Gate I once used Meteorain, Satellite Beam, Fury Brand, Meteorain, Satellite Beam, all in a row. Killed the bugger in my third turn -------------------- |

I never even considered getting Aeris final limit break!
I think chaos is a very cool limit break so went with that. Although it's tough not having any control over him. -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |

Omnislash all the way. It looks cool in this game and FFT, when you can get cloud.

Cid's is by far the best especially the Dynomite where he lights it with his cigarette. Granted Cid's limit breaks may be not as powerful as Cloud's, but they are definatly more entertaining.

Other - Mind Blow. It was just a damn useful limit that helped me out very often. An honourable mention goes to Lunatic High. I like the slightly different 'utility' limits.

Fury Brand, it used Aeris' limit gauge to completely fill those of the other two members with you. Insanely useful.

Doom of the living
For many reasons like: - Yuffie's my favorite char - I think it's her coolest limit - IT'S her most powerful limit Still, I must say Nanaki's Lunatic High was one of the most useful limit at the beginning of the game. -------------------- Sayonara |

I loved Vincent's Limit Breaks. Raising hell as the first main FF villain is the ultimate thing!

Basically, I hated Cid and all of his Limit Breaks. Period. Omnislash was acceptable since a lot of the other Limits suck a lot.

I'd be lying if I didn't give Earth Rave my top spot. Red's a staple in my party and his penultimate limit is far superior to Cosmo Memory.

The coolest looking one by far was Barret's "satellite" or whatever. 1st one on 3rd level.

Today was my first time seeing "Highwind" In action. RIGHT before the final boss battle I got it off an Iron Giant. It was cool, but pales in comparison to Chaos.
Quote (Vincent) I'm becoming less human... And alot more badass. So very very useful. Least favorite award goes to Vincent too. Hell masker sucked by comparison to his level 2 which has suddenly slipped my mind. Considering that it's the easiest final Limit to get, it sucks the most.

Right. Cosmo Memory would be infinitely more powerful if it hit continously.
Anyway, You have to give the props to simple guys like Braver and Sled Fang. Just kidding. Omnislash is simply THE hardest hitting limit in the game. When Cloud is strong enough, it does more damage than KotR. -------------------- |

And it takes less than a third of the time compared to knights of the round, to use it, thank the gods!
How good is Yuffie's final limit? I was thinking of getting it... is it worth it? Just like for Aeris, I can't work out why so many people on this forum hate her. -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |

Yuffie's final limit really isn't that great. All Creation is just an all-hitter for huge damage, but it hits but once. You get more bang for your buck by keeping her at level 3 for a faster-charging meter and a good multi-hit limit in Doom of the Living; this is especially true if you level up your characters in excess.

I'd have to say Finishing Touch...can't go wrong with big whirlwinds, AND it's even awesome in other games Cloud appears in...although, if I had to choose from those listed, Chaos is cool in aesthetic, if not in execution.
