just as a side note, when is the first time you can get knights of the round? i tried at the end of disc 1 and near the start of disc 2 and i couldn't buy the chocobo stables...

also about the beta question, i got that just before I went to the temple of the ancients...i fought midgar zolom quite a few times coz i didn't have a chocobo

You can only get Knights of The Round once you're on the third disc.

You don't HAVE to have a stable to ride a chocobo, just use the Chocobo lure materia and run around on the footprints. Eventually you'll random encounter into a fight with a chocobo in it and if you manage to keep it, instead of sending it off, you can just ride it through the marsh and skip the whole Zolom fight.

I'm guessing you leveled up quite a bit too because if you play through normally, generally the MZ makes minced meat out of you.

and i meant to breed chocobos you need stables
and it's actually possible ot fight the zolom when you're on a chocobo
if you run into it lol

and one of the reasons for being able to beat it was having clouds lv3 limit and vincents lv2
they helped a great deal

you can get knights of the rounds by getting the chocobo thing right. But man that summon takes soooooooo long. too boring. use the 7777 trick instead if you must.
