I have been obsessed with this game since it was announced, but I don't have a PSP. This would be the only reason I would get the PSP other than Crisis Core and of course Advent Children.

I don't have much of an opinion about this game, but you're going to get reamed by one of the mods for a double topic post.

And just so I reply to the topic somewhat, keep in mind if I buy a game or a game system it is several months/years late, so I probably won't get a PSP until Xmas 2006 at the very earliest.

Not bad, looks a lot like a Diablo clone. If properly executed, it could be a great game.

The display area looks terribly small, though: the perspective is such that enemies do not seem like they'd be visible until they're litterally right next to you. This would make things kinda awkward... :/

Gonna keep an eye on this too.

Usually GameSpot gives reviews based on things like graphics and sound, not gameplay and story, etc. Same thing with a lot of other RPGs.

What? Now you're just lying to yourself, chief. If that's so true, why do they give such low-ish scores to graphics-intense and story-intense games like Koudelka and Star Ocean III? (the answers are an awful battle system and "design choices"). Look, from everything I've read (IGN didn't think it was so hot either), Untold Legends is almost certainly another Diablo/Baldur's Gate/Champions of Norrath clone with enough differences to be its own game. You'll almost certainly enjoy playing it, because you have your heart set on doing so.

I've never played any hack-and-slash games like Diablo or Champions of Norrath so it will be a nice change from Final Fantasy's combat system.

But, I recently picked up Champions of Norrath and it's great. I've been playing through the game as a Barbarian and I can kill anything in two to three hits with Blunt Weapons+Dual Wield+Slam+Critical Hit. I can decimate bosses in about 6 hits as well.And now I finally got the PSP and Untold Legends. It's pretty good, I'm about 1/5 into the game as a Knight. Dual Wield is my best friend now...
